You should read to learn and for entertainment. I don’t think it really matters if it’s on paper or on a screen.

I listen to a lot of podcasts. I prefer to do that over reading. Podcasts make me think and learn. Shouldn't avoid reading but there's more then one way to exercise the mind.

Reading is reading. The material doesn't matter,but the better the quality,the more likely you can use its information to better yourself.

I've always laughed at people when they say they "read". Thats like saying you "watch". What, do you watch movies, plays, stage performances, tv, youtube, we talking binge watching or reality tv, documentaries, soaps, sitcoms, news??? Same goes to reading stuff, someone can brag about being a 'reader' and only ever read trash romance smut.

Let no one be a gatekeeper for knowledge, dont believe everything you read ~~on the internet,~~ dont put all your eggs in one basket.

Theres that annoying quote from some dead president maybe, i forget, about not being friends with people who haven't got a well stocked library and I say that since the invention of the internet books have been drastically devalued, but those who continue to value books over other new media are perpetuating it, and the hipsters, those dirty scoundrels.

"Reading" has no inherent value as a hobby, yet somehow its viewed as such. As much of a hobby as eating
