The local grocery store put up an actual tent in the parking lot to sell flowers for Valentine's Day. Just shook my head and laughed at the beaten down bastards buying stuff, only so they could go home that night and sleep in the house they paid for.

This is seriously tragic. I woke up at like noon today (no work), took a shit and a shower, fuckin blasted my V8 through the countryside, went on a wonderful hike on my own (saw some poor bastards out there with their dolled up ball and chains lol) and ate a whole pizza to myself while watching a documentary.

Yesterday was Valentines Day? Shit. Guess I forgot. Was too busy in my mini King of the Hill marathon before going to sleep to go to work later.

Let me know when the holidays I care about come up. Like Friday the 13th and Halloween. I really don’t care for most holidays. Don’t care to celebrate my birthday although that’s not a holiday.

Never spent much money on flowers, but one year I spent a lot of time on a hobby I was trying out, growing a bunch of flowers in my hobby room. Spent a year in those flowers and have them to a friend of mine for Valentine's day. Not because I wanted to date her, or fuck her, but because she was depressed at being single and not getting anything that day. My hobby had gone it's course and I was gonna try something knew, so I cut them, arranged them, and delivered them to her work. Made her crazy happy, and asked me if I would get her dinner that night. Sure whatever, I had nothing to do. Waitress makes a comment that included cute couple or something. And this friend goes "ewww" and for the rest of the night I was pretty passive aggressive. End of the night she thanks me for saving her day, I thank her for ruining mine and humiliating me after I bought her dinner and gave her flowers I spent a year caring for, including orchids that can't exist outside here, nevermind in the wild. She didn't, and probably still doesn't, understand how saying one... Sound? It's not even a word... Could destroy a friendship. She even had the gall to ask for flowers the next year. Sent her a text containing just "ewww" just wish I had told the waitress to split the bill that night.

Edit, I really wonder how much those flowers had been worth.
