My marriage counselor said "You can still be married, but it will be a different marriage." Fuck that! Counseling is a process where you lay your weak-ass hurt shit out for you, your cheating-slut wife, and the counselor to see. It hurts and it just makes you look more like a beta because the level of hurt from your family being torn apart by her cheating includes FURY and TEARS.
Stupid counselor thought that I should take anti-depresants because I was mad that the person I trusted most tore my family and life apart because she wanted to fall on random dick. Anger is NORMAL. I took a couple of pills... then blew that shit off! I'm not going to medicate my hurt away. I'm going to feel hurt because I got fucking betrayed.
I won't say counseling is an utter waste of time, but I will say that it's probably not going to make it better.
Plus: Society doesn't allow consequences for cheating bitches; the best you can do is remove your quality self from her fucked up life.
