I've wanted a super sport my entire life and yesterday I went out and got one. Traded in my old bike and picked up this CBR 600RR. Rode back home on a nice long trip through the mountains and it was one the happiest days of my life. Go your own way gentlemen.

Why did you go for a sports bike instead of af a standard. Asking because I'm considering going into biking as well( for the wrong reasons, love the attention it will entail) and I've fallen in love with the new KTM Duke 390

Standards are great bikes. I started out on a Suzuki SV650 and had a great time, but ultimately it just wasn't for me. There was just something about the uber aggressiveness of a supersport that was calling to me. And the second I got to ride it, then it was love at first sight. It all just comes down to personal taste, and I think the KTM Duke 390 would be an awesome bike to get if that's what you are feeling. I would also suggest test riding a couple different bikes and picking out which one you like riding best.
