Yeah, they like to point out when things are getting "worse" for them, although closer examination oftentimes means they are getting closer to the aggregate for men. Here's an example:

That's so perfect. If you care about men's problems AT ALL, even if you also care about women's problems, you're a misogynist. That word no longer has any meaning. It is used basically to mean, "generic insult against a man when I can't counter his reasonable argument with any facts or anything rational."

I seem to recall women were growing less happy moreso than men, and that men had actually gotten more happy over the last decades - it was just that they started out with men so much less happy than women that they still hadn't met each other.

The whole suicide rate being larger among men boils down to men being more confident and... not self-serving, but something sort of like it? It goes beyond independence but doesn't reach selfish (I don't think suicide is selfish tbh). Studies have said that men tend to worry less about those who find their remains afterwards, etc. Meanwhile - that's primarily what prevents women from committing suicide. They want a very clean way to do so, typically.

Historically speaking, men are expendable. Most societies doesn't care that much if a young man dies, gets raped, harrassed, beaten to a pulp, and sued. While it's different for a young woman who is generally highly valued due to her high fertility.
