I've never understood the PUA mentality. I realize that in many ways most relationships these days are transactional. We exchange our value ( money, time, attention) for their value ( sex, "love", companionship ). The whole "game" mentality just seems to have too high a cost on aspects of my time and focus to justify the perceived reward. I think it´s a matter of clarity and depends on your current point of view.

1) If you just want sex or value it so much over social interaction and validation than paying is WAY better, you don´t waste precious time and money on intermediary steps that could lead to nothing or even worse than nothing. You pay, kill the urge and keep on going with life.

2) If you like to "play the game", want to get better at social aspects of life, self validate and prove that you are capable than PUA has something to offer, but remember, the end goal should be self improvement and not woman itself.
