Dated her? I married her.
She was physically and verbally abusive. I often hoped that death would take me out of it.
Eventually she threw my stuff out of the house and got herself a boyfriend.
I have since decided to go my own way. I'm working on getting rid of my self-pity and bitterness. I am replacing it with self-respect, self-improvement, and independence.
I have found great freedom and hope in going full monk mode.

I am not sure but she definitely had the symptoms, from what I have read. She'd love life and be super spontaneous. She'd be flexible and a joy to be around. We traveled. We volunteered. We volunteered a lot.
And then, without cause, she'd flip into a different person. Hateful. Abusive. Vindictive. Normally, she would have been a very moral and conservative person but all of her former convictions would completely disappear when she became like this.
I never saw the second version of her until we'd been married for over a year. Eventually, Mr. Hyde took over completely.
