You know this kinda reminds me.. I'm not monk mode, so I still date. With that said, if you ever go in any dating site like POF for example.. Do a simple search for women between 21-29 ( I'm 29) and include in the parameters that you're looking for something serious as a filter option. I kid you not, over 90% of the women in that age range who are suddenly ready for something serious all have atleast one kid. And most of them have more than one.

Now, change the filter from "something serious" to "casual dating" or "friendship" and over 90% of them have no kids. So basically they havent gotten enough Chad dick yet, and when they fuck up and let a chad impregnate them, and they walk... NOW theyre ready for something serious because they want a father figure and a meal ticket.

I am not even exaggerating the percentages, go make a POF account and do a simple search the way I specified and you'll see the same results in the U.S. anyway.
