Quick anecdote, I asked out the last chick I had dick-feelings for. It was while out with a few friends, I just said something like "Hey we get along OK, you wanna go on a date sometime?" and she politely declined. I shrugged and said "OK" then continued enjoying my time with my friends, not really thinking about it. This drove her fucking bonkers. Suddenly she was clingy, needy, properly keen on me. She started texting me daily, among other things. About a week later, she messages me on facebook with one of these: "So why didn't you chase me more?"

Bitch you unambiguously turned me down. I took the hint and got on with my life.

We talked for a bit and she prompted me to ask her out again and I told her it was too late. I'm not dating chicks that play games, and I'm especially not dating chicks that have already rejected me.

Anyway, good post /u/fat-stanley. There are a lot of thirsty simps out there that think they're playing the game, that think they're 'enjoying the chase' but in reality they're just propping up some ho's ego.

Truth here. I never got it. Women pursued me, not me them. Women will always chase an unavailable man, and open their wallet and feign interest in the most obscure topics for an unavailable man. The more fire burns in you for a hobby or anything that is not a woman the more desperate they are to have you. But the disinterest has to be real. You can't fake being real, fake having passions for life. I never got the men who chase and chase and chase.

This is not to be mistaken as I didn't find women to be exciting, and sure enough in my younger days I was one of the horniest guys I knew. But my value of pride and doing what I want always overrode the attraction to a woman.

Now here is why Mgtow is the only way to go. Women are not given enough credit here. We laugh and joke at how stupid they are as they fleece us left and right. Women are the ultimate stalkers. If they desire you and set their sights on you, they will play a long game as they become the unicorn chameleon. They will wear you down because no one could fake something for so long. At least that is what you think. No one could fake something so sincerely. And they don't, that is the secret to their success at stalking us. They are sincere when they look you dead in your eyes, promising forever. At that moment, if they could make it last forever they would. But time moves on, and the forever of yestermoment disappears and in the blink of an eye a stranger will be in front of you who has her sights set on a new object to stalk.

This. Most men have zero pride and dignity. With all the knowledge we have on female nature(briffaults law,solipsism,hypergamy) men should not be chasing women. Only mangina cucks with disney idolistion chase. When i see a hot woman the first thing that comes to mind is trouble .The interaction almost always breaks down because of their female entitlement.They expect men to chase their own doom by escalating. They hide behid phrases like "if its meant to be, it will just happen" .Ghosting usually works but some are quite resilient. Women are simply not worth it ,beats me why any guy would chase them let alone even talk to them.

I used to put all kinds of effort into trying to impress women, until the point that they would start completely ignoring me, and it was clear that there was no hope. I'll tell you what my reasoning was back then:

In most things in life, the more you try, the more successful you will be. Thus, logically, one would think that, in dating, if one only tries hard enough, surely one of these women that one is attracted to will be interested. But, in reality, dating is different. It doesn't necessarily work that way. In fact, it sometimes doesn't work that way at all, especially for particular guys.
People often don't want to believe the truth. A guy isn't going to want to believe that there is a low "ceiling" to how successful he can be at dating, and that it is a pretty fixed, solid ceiling. And we don't encourage people to just quit when they aren't successful, even if that is what actually makes the most sense for them.
Lack of information. I didn't trade dating experiences with lots of other guys. So I really didn't have any idea of what was typical, until I started reading some MGTOW-related stuff. Looking back, it explained my experiences very well. So well that I wonder why I didn't just figure it out on my own. But again, some of this stuff isn't fun to realize at first; it's like giving up on a big goal for one's life. Also, many people assume that mainstream knowledge is what is correct. And I found the mainstream to be seriously misleading on dating. For example, I had a mainstream dating book. It ended up being pretty worthless. It encouraged being confident, sincere, caring about one's appearance -- one problem though: the advice didn't work!

All of the above leads to guys thinking that it's just a matter of working hard and trying and trying.

When I first started posting on this group, there was a lot that I didn't understand, but people on this group sure brought me up-to-date in a hurry. One piece of advice was basically this (although it was explained using different words): You can't attract someone by doing things for them. It's not like you take someone to a nice movie, you take someone on a nice vacation, you buy someone a nice piece of jewelry, then that's enough for them to become attracted to you. That's just not how it works. It's not something that you earn by doing stuff. It's more like, it's very possible that a guy just could never attract particular women, from the very start. It seems unfair, but the great truth that you get to also learn, that makes up for it, is: in many cases, if one could attract the woman that one is trying so much to attract, one very well might not want that relationship, if they found out what such relationship would actually be like.

i'm so let down by my fellow man. I mean, i have great pride, we're the ones who have figured out MGTOW, are the best at work, invention, the most important jobs usually, men are great, but fuck, we can be so stupid. i'm in no ways a super Chad. i'm a middle of the road guy, had some blue pill early days, grew up into borderline Chad but never big into women in general, but have been with a few for sure, and even in my middle of the road experiences with all women, i've never got how lowering myself or chasing someone is worth my time. i'll pursue, like a few first calls or asking out on dates type of aggressive, but nothing more. well nothing now that i'm MGTOW, but in my day....and yet my friends who are women will tell me of men, who just chase, 8 texts a day, send money before they've even dated or had sex. man, some guys are so beta its funny, sometimes i wonder if women are simply engineered that way because modern society has allowed rise of the beta pussy as well. or is the feminist agendas pushed onto modern society the things to blame for the rise in these blue-pill losers. chicken vs. the egg. i'll go sit in my cabin alone in this mountain drinking some tea letting the clouds pass in peace.

Juicy post. Don't watch what they say, watch how they act. Go to a nightclub and be really respectful and courteous and gentlemanly.. Do the nice guy script. You might have some quote unquote Luck with the Ladies, but for some reason they love it when you're somewhat disrespectful.

Ironically, for all the criticism, pickup seems primarily focused around self development, so that you might attract higher quality females by default.

Bettering yourself in as many ways as possible so that you no longer emulate, or fake til you make, the characteristics of a successful and confident man, but actually become one so there's some truth to your interactions.

Just went on a tinder date yesterday. After the date I ask if she's interested in a second date. Goes something like this :

Her "we'll see how things go next week" Me "you don't know if you want to meet? Or you might be busy next week or what? We could go see a movie" Her "I dunno we'll see" Me "you don't know if you want to see a movie or you don't know if you're interested? Or is this just a nice way of saying you're not interested?" Her "I was gonna go on a second date with you but now you've proven to be obsessive"

Then she unmatched me and I'm like what. I suppose I should be glad they reveal their crazy early on.
