Hello All! I did not see an "introduction" sticky and wanted to relate a little about what previously kept me away from this movement sub, and what eventually brought me here.

As to the former , I am ashamed to admit that I bought the whole "MGTOW is groups of losers who can't get laid and blame women for it." I thought it was an anti-women philosophy but after lurking have found that it is, as the name suggest about men enhancing their lives, refusing to be shackled into antiquated legal partnerships, enjoy their own time and do not want to constantly be blamed/held responsible for another humans happiness.

As to the latter: Like many of you on here , I can get laid, inherited $$ and a cool (pilots) uniform seems to be the main reasons why. I note remarkable changes in how I'm perceived when I'm just an another guy and when my "status" (most of which I didn't earn, and am very upfront about that) is on display.

Fair enough, that's the game. I don't understand why it is any less objectifying or "more deep" for a Woman to want me for my money or social power, as opposed to me wanting a women for her physical qualities, but it is what it is.

The main issue is that I admire loyalty , integrity , self-awareness, humility, intelligent perspective, and the ability to take responsibility for your own choices and life. I expect to receive the amount of respect that I give and some level of honesty. I value these things far more than fleeting sexual pleasure.

I am not saying "Women" do not have these qualities only that in my experience they may have one or two and that they can change on a day to day basis. Plenty of women are far more intelligent that I will ever be but that doesn't necessarily translate to honest scrutiny of their own actions or sources of their emotions.

I have dated many women in the US, short and long term, I am now convinced that it is impossible for (American?) women to have the qualities which I admire in another human. Weighing in at an average of 166 pounds, having been liberated from patriarchy, they still expect to hold onto all the social advantages given, without any of the responsibility which comes with it.

All of that aside, I enjoy being by myself, love my free time and that girl who I wanted so badly, and finally got , within days starts to try and consolidate power, (as if we are in "Game of Throne's" wtf do they want with this "power"?) ear beating me into giving up my favorite activities so I can play the "guess what mood she will be in a few minutes from now" game. No guessing needed as to who she will blame and make suffer for her mood.

I don't hate women but I don't really like them either. I do think our current culture has led to female chauvinism. It makes little sense on a logical level that western women are powerful , liberated, actualized humans who are constantly victimized by men and an oppressed class. One in four (or six) gets raped , which means more women women get raped in the US than any war zone or third world country in the world. I don't mean "per capita" either. Don't even get me started on the "Gender Pay Gap" myth. Rape is obviously a serious issue, which is probably why we have laws about that.

The cry-bullying is very disconcerting on a social/political level but not my main reason for joining this movement seeking advice here.

Rather, it is simply this, genuine question what do we get out of female companionship? What qualities do modern women have that make them desirable to be around? Sex is pleasurable, but the second it is over , I want to be left alone. When I was 18 it was a magical experience , now at 34 , usually far more trouble than its worth. Men don't get that after sex "glow" and contentment, even in this it is so clear that Women get much, much more out of the experience , yet somehow remains their main (only?) chip in the dating game. Companionship? I relate with men much better on this front , for many obvious reasons but also because they have the ability to face hard truths about themselves, take responsibility and understand how to live by a code.

Sincere question though , can anyone tell me the advantages of having a platonic female friend, one with "benefits or significant other?

Anyhow , that's my introduction rant. The time I am not spending chasing tail I'm using to pursue far more gratifying endeavors (i.e learning how to code, starting a community garden, aerobatic flying etc). I look forward to learning more about this community and get guidance as to how I can stay focused and be strong the next time a piece gets thrown at me.

I'm thrilled that there is a community! And hope to contribute to it once I understand the philosophy and aims a little better. Thank you for reading my long post , I'm really happy to finally be on board!
