Yes, but the question would be, what brings the most money. Bikini soccer would bring a lot more money, but we're not doing that. You also don't pay money to see high schoolers play soccer. Not because they're not women, it's because it's not as entertaining as Serie A or Premier League or the US equivalent.
This is where the argument for skill comes in, in my opinion. You don't need to be the most skillful player to get the most money, but your skill needs to be good enough to entertain people to continue watching and draw massive crowds; which the Women's soccer team (and most women's sports) don't offer.
Men's sports are like that; it's not that all of them have high skill, it's that they are skillful enough to be entertain. So, women's sports aren't skillful enough to even be entertaining is probably the argument (especially when high school teams can beat them).

The bikini football players are softcore porn. No competition = no entertainment. People will entertain it for a moment then switch back to actual sport and porn.
Women should stick to the fields they're competitive in. If you have to water down the rules, thereby restricting the progress of a man because his gender intimidates you, you're literally holding back society for the sake of your own ego.

I've worked in sales for years and women can do well in it, although very few try because it's hard work, high risk (low salary, high commission kind of risk, not the life endangering kind) and whatever else. They can compete with and beat men at an individual level on the exact same field.
In sports or physical endeavours, it's just boring listening to women screech about how they're the same as men. I'm an unfit fucking smoker, so the 12 year old girl next door could beat me in any fitness test you throw us into. But if a 30 year old woman who runs and goes to the gym everyday challenged me to a physical fight, the biological advantages I still have, plus the bits of training I've done in years prior, would see me winning that fight. Not that I'd accept because it would be retarded.
Anyway, I'm not going to tell women what their strengths are over men as a gender, just that they should figure that shit out and stop competing with men in fields we're clearly better in. Help, or get the fuck out of the way

Women have more flexible muscles, so they usually do better in sports like gymnastics , figure skating or ballet. Also, women's curves are more attractive than men's, so they are more fun to watch doing these sports.
Women can also be great artists: women do very well in singing, acting, etc. and can compete with men in these fields, many times using their attractiveness to get an edge, which is fine by me.
But sports that require strength, speed or mental capabilities will always favor men, so feminists really have no argument here other than blaming the "patriarchy".

I think the spirit of the argument is that, if you want to get paid more, you need to demonstrate commensurate worth and value.
Results that you achieve as a consequence to how skillful you are is a factor though not the only factor and not a guarantee. How well you attract a crowd can also be factor and perhaps this can also be use as an argument for skill i.e. the U.S. women's soccer team aren't skillful enough to attract a sizeable crowd to watch them play.
Because the women's team don't have to win to attract a crowd, but they do need to perform skillfully enough to be entertaining to watch which clearly they are not.

It’s just like everything else. If it weren’t for “women’s” sports there would be no women in sports at all. In every endeavor where men and women compete on the SAME playing field women are doing good to comprise 2% of the “players”. 6% of the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies being female is attributable to PR, PC culture and “wokeness” and you know there are men behind the curtain pulling the levers. Otherwise you could count them on your fingers.
Women comprise 2% of chess grandmasters and no female has ever even contested for the world championships. But that’s ok, there is a separate women’s “championship” where literally dozens of women are eligible to compete so they can have something to honk their horns about. And the sad part is that has nothing whatsoever to do with the (nonexistent) physical advantage men have over women in sports. It’s straight up brainpower.
