Plenty of High status goods looking men that came from good High status family usually graduate and become part of their dad's or a family friend's company. Hough status family remain so because of connections.

Many young graduates with high status family also enter government positions including defence and they become officers then generals one day. Because those jobs are highly respected and high status family have heritage of having high status positions in big companies.

My point is... Plenty of high status good looking men are with high status good looking women who are almost programmed to be together to continue the trend. Many don't hear about this because these families are traditional and conservatives and more focused on keeping high status than being famous from media or social media.

Not all gold diggers are equal. Example scenario: the guy could be earning an entry-level salary but could be doing so overseas in a developing country where such pay is considered “comfortable middle class” by their standards.

Also, engineers can make a lot of money “immediately after college”.

Sure, in those outlier situations I would agree. That's not really what's being mentioned in the OP.

In the general case of an average guy getting an average degree that will make an average entry level salary upon graduation, the logic doesn't quite add up.

Agreed. That would follow under the "doctor or some such." And if that's the case - doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc making six figures right out the bat, I would agree.

Op, however, is missing those important details. You have to make too many assumptions to arrive at that conclusion. Without knowing his entry level salary or his position, it's too much of a jump to assume gold digging.

For instance, the guy might have just spent all his time studying in school and now he actually socializes after work. Or he might have been fat and lost a lot of weight by the time he graduated.

It's a poor post, in my opinion.
