Five-year lurker here. Never found the inclination to make an account in all this time. However, I'm at that stage where my parents are asking me to get married (Indian guy, studied and currently working in the US). I never found the arranged marriage process organic though and I've been lurking here for a while trying to find some answers. I've found the insights on this sub very helpful and created an account today just to thank everyone here.

Also, any Indian guys here who've been through this shit: It'd be great if you could share some pointers on how to avoid the marriage discussion with my parents haha.
