GTOW... Dolby Atmos

If you've never experienced 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos, it blows 7.1 systems out of the water. The Denon receiver can also take 5.1 tracks and simulate Atmos pretty well. All the speakers including the ceiling speakers are Polk speakers, the subwoofer is a Rythmik LV12R, and the TV is an LG OLED 2016 model 65inch 4K, which also supports 3D. With this configuration 3D looks great.. the reason 3D didn't take off is you need to be sitting almost perfectly in front of the screen for it to look good and that includes having the screen angled downward so it directly faces me.

Best movie to really experience Atmos.. both John Wick movies... they just kick so much ass. It's better than a theater, really.

this is how you do it boys.

I own my own apartment. no rent. it's a small place. small management fee. when you're just one person you don't need much more than one bedroom and a kitchen/living room. stop chasing the McMansion and excessive life. if you want to indulge get a tV and setup like this or a nice car.

I have a bank account full of cash and the main luxuries i allow myself are an amazing couch, tv, entertainment system. after a long day at work there is nothing else i need. life is cheap when you go your own way. you don't realize that all the money stress comes from outside of yourself.

Damn, that looks like a sick one-man theater experience! This kind of thing becomes a lot more achievable when you're MGTOW as you don't have to worry about what else you could use the space for (no nagging wife or GF) and making it able to accomodate more than one person so you're free to splurge on what really matters.

By the way, if you enjoyed John Wick I would suggest you get yourself a copy of Mission: Impossible - Fallout ASAP. It recently topped the John Wick movies on my list of "Greatest action flicks of all time" and not only is the cinematography top notch, both the soundtrack, sound design and sound mix are impeccable, although admittedly I've only heard it on a stereo setup.

When i upgraded to a new sound system I couldnt believe how big an improvement it was. Even just having Dolby Pro Logic II and a 5.1 setup is a huge leap in sound quality over the older home theater receivers. The DPL2 mode sounds unbelievably good for music too. Almost every 2 channel music gets very intelligently converted to a very realistic surround sound and the results are often amazing.
