Intimacy became much more honest when I became aware that women regard men as their enemies.

I continue to casually date women so there is still physical intimacy in my life, and honestly I think there is more romance than when I was looking for the 'one'. Instead of shopping for a house to live in for the next 50 years, I'm renting apartments near the water or the big park and moving often, so I can enjoy the scene for what it is and not get caught up in what it will be (metaphor, I own a condo). It's more honest and fun this way.

As far as male friends go it's been tricky as I've lost touch with a few good friends because they got married and had kids and my bachelorhood makes me distant to them and vice-versa, but I've met some like-minded men as well, though will likely never have the same deep bond I had with my childhood or college friends.
