I think there should be equal rights when it comes to opportunity. Now given the opportunity, I also believe women should be held to the same standard. If war requires you to be able to pick up the soldier next to you and carry him then you need to be able to do that. Not oh well your a female we will give you a lighter load. No you signed up, you meet the standard. But some things are sex specific. Men are protectors. They should protect. If we could choose the roles so easily, I bet you more women would pass the child birth off to the male. But we have our duties and you have yours.
So men, MAN UP and serve your DUTY to protect women, who have completely equal rights to you in every other way. Except the way that may involve you having your head blown off.

I honestly believe that women have just as much ability as men to fire a weapon, operate a machine gun, drive a tank, and fly a fighter jet. So therefore they get equal rights in life, and they serve their country accordingly. The military can give them x% of leniency based on factual statistics on the difference between the physical abilities of men and women. And no, they shouldn't get the armchair general jobs unless they earn those positions like men have to.

"Except they don't, every study done by the military has showed that on average they are less capable of these things."
Source? I work with some very intelligent women, and I think they can perform reasonably similarly to a man in every mental capacity.
"Lol, the military has super low standards for women. Like laughably low and men are just expected to pick up the slack. Honestly it sucks dick because they promote easier and do less work and take nothing but non combat jobs."
If things were fair, the super low standards would be raised to be comparable to men and proportional to the physical ability of women. But yeah, life's not fair, which is why we're on this forum.
"What they should and shouldn't get is irrelevant. What they would get is all the intellectual non combat and service jobs just making it harder for better qualified men to fill that position."
I think the core debate regarding the draft is whether women would serve in combat roles.
Bottom line: Due to equality, it's only fair that women serve in the same combat roles that men would be drafted in, granted the military provide some minimal degree of leniency based on actual physical differences between men and women. But like you stated in your last 2 responses, the real world doesn't work like that and would still favor women disproportionately, and I agree with you that that would likely happen if women are drafted. But you do seem a little biased against women, which I don't necessarily agree with.

Okay, you make a pretty convincing argument since you cited a reputable source. Maybe the military is better off with all men from an unbiased perspective, if only a limited number of people were drafted. This would essentially make the most effective military. However, if China suddenly invaded the U.S. and we needed every available able-body person to repel the attack, then why shouldn't women still be required to pick up a weapon if needed?

Debate.org post:
Chivalry - A man's duty is to give his life for a woman, not the other way around. I recall "discussing" this in my high school government class. Immediately after the question was put to us, the ENTIRE CLASS screamed "No!" A particularly avid female in the class protested angrily that "men fight the wars and women stay home and raise the babies!" Her rant was quite amusing, and proved the point.

Why should I protect a country that doesn't really give a shit about me, that treats illegal aliens better than veterans, that is highly biased against white men? Why should I care about a country whose biggest concern right now is whether a tiny portion of the population can use a certain bathroom?
IMO, "giving your life for your country" is the same concept as communism, where the benefit of the whole is greater than the benefit of individuals. And sorry but I value my life more than the whole. Call me what you want but that's the way I feel.
Regarding the draft... ALL people in a country SHOULD have an equal chance of serving and dying - men, women, AND illegal aliens. But women and illegal aliens are exempt from registering, of course, and they reap all the government benefits. So therefore: the government values the lives of women and illegals more than men.
Patriotism, jingoism, communism, nationalism, it's all similar if you ask me.
