A friend of mine recently got engaged. I've tried previously to explain to him just how big a trap marriage is and how life-ruining it can be, showed him divorce statistics, laid out the facts, etc, etc, but he won't listen. He thinks he needs a relationship to be happy/healthy/stable, so he's ignoring them and getting married anyway.

The poor bastard is so deluded. He was previously kinda broke, but came into money. From what I can tell, the woman he's set to marry has no college education and works for what is basically a pyramid scheme. He thinks she's the best person in the world, his "true love", and that they'll be together forever. He also lives in a "no-fault" state.

Is he saveable, or do I just wait and say "I told you so"?
