But I have no doubt that if you stick to it, then you'll be good at your job... Though I might suggest getting good with computer programming and sorting algorithms in order to automate your job sell the service and sit back as you make money. I like Evolv or whatever the HR company is named that does "forced choice questionnaires". The statistics become interesting when you learn what personality traits are most useful for specific jobs. (e.g. creativity is more important to a collections agent than perseverance... oddly).

Good idea. I worked for a recruitment agency for a while. It was fun as hell, and I progressed very quickly. I spent most of my time doing sales though.

You will never get hired into HR. The screeching harpies will never allow it and will make threats to the company over it. It's a one in a million chance. If you do get hired into HR, be ready for the screeching harpies to all group up and do everything possible to get you sued and fired.

Good for you, but it's unpleasant work. I hope you have the strength of character to leave the shit you have to do at work and not let it chew up your mind in your personal life. I'll give you an example. In my annual appraisal I was grade as exceptional in all technical aspects. They must have wanted to really fuck with me though because My key objective for this year, which is linked to promotion, is to contribute to the firms affirmative action program for women. HR somehow detected my kryptonite and forced me to choke on it. The total cunts.

Try to get more statistical rigor in selection processes. Look into how Industrial Organizational Psychology can help get better candidates and not just fucking diversity hires.

Do you want to spend your life screwing over employees just so the company isn't put at risk?

Do something useful, technical or trade orientated.

Do something that enables you to get a useful job. Do something that everybody else isn't aiming for as well, as you want to get a job without 100 other people applying for it as well.
