Congratulations on both counts. The Dave Ramsey stuff does work it just takes diligence, patience and remember be the tortoise. Sounds like your getting close to Step #4. That is super exciting. Hey buddy, I vividly remember when I paid off my student debt. It was a small moment, but also a big moment because I proved myself that I was able to put my mind to something great.

And some years later I also happened to knock up a single mother. I chose to be there for my son (yes, I had him DNA tested) and he brings me so much happiness. Furthermore, I have never worked so hard as now, so maybe there's even a positive effect.

I find a lot of the material by Jordan Peterson inspiring when it comes to picking up responsibility - in this case, your child - and working hard. You have the chance to be a great dad.

In several states, if the previous kid of the single mother is not helped financially by the other father, you may have to pay additionnal amount of alimony so that the kids have equivalent lifestyle. Good luck
