Well, it happened to me fellas. I had my suspicions but now its confirmed. She upgraded the minute she had a chance.

Met a girl on Hinge, hit it off, things were great for the month we dated. We were hanging out back to back days, sex was great. She checked a lot of boxes and I'm pretty picky. Its been years since I was this into a girl this much. Lots of common interests, great career, good chemistry, etc. I often have the problem of being emotionally unavailable in the beginning of the relationship but didn't have that issue with this one. Only makes the fall that much harder.

She started getting a little distant over text and I called her out on it, she said it had just been insane at work. A few days later I got the 2020 version of "Its not you, its me". Told me over text that she was drowning physically & mentally at work and she needed to take space and that she needed to take care of herself (ironically she just needed another dude to take care of her). She said she thought I was a great guy and would hope I understand...then she proceeded to block me on all forms of communication.

Come to find out today that she is dating a new guy. Can't be mad at him. Still hurts though. I'm posting this as a "You told me so" as well as a bit of therapy for myself to get it off my chest because this one hurt. I had a good run for a few years there where I didn't need any woman and I'm looking to get back to that. I dipped my toes in the water and man it sure felt good to be around an attractive, fun woman (sex was nice too) as well as just the physical intimacy in general. Its a dangerous and intoxicating poison.

So many women can barely hold an interesting conversation to save their life. They think their love for travel, wine & netflix are personality traits. Here I thought I found one that was different. I was wrong. Stay frosty.
