The hubris of many in society today is off the charts, they think they're so "progressive" that what happened in the past can't happen now because they "got it right this time". That's why they keep trying socialism over and over, which ends in totalitarianism, loss of freedom, mass death, poverty,...
These same people so sure they're right and will make a utopian future, will be the most surprised when it turns into a dystopian nightmare they never saw coming. They'll also be some of the first to perish in the collapse and aftermath, and suffer the most.

that's true, I was looking at it from the perspective that they are so focused and delusional about the future utopia they think they're creating they'll be the least prepared for the reality and ferocity of the collapse and anarchy.
Let's take a huge city, like NYC, 8.6M people (2017), when the collapse and shitstorm happens. Police, elites and criminal gangs will have weapons and organization, let's say that's about 1M people. That leaves 7.6M at the mercy of those armed and organized. Martial law could occur or the rule of law and law enforcement is non-existent. It's going to be epic in many ways. The vast majority is not prepared for it, they will perish or become easy prey.

Exactly, when it goes I think it will go fast and a lot of people will probably be taken out pretty fast and it will either be martial law or gang law in a lot of places, the weak who have no real skills will not last long. If it collapses I want to be out in the damn country somewhere, I am saving now to buys some land somewhere.

I've seen a few estimates that say only about 10% of the population will survive the collapse and immediate aftermath (< 1 year). This will be true in most advanced societies that are most dependent on modern technologies.
A rural farmer in a third-world country will be less impacted than an average American city dweller, such as a SJW feminazi in a private liberal college in a major US city.
I expect to be dead before this happens, I plan to have my oceangoing sailboat in 4-5 years, retire in 10 years or less. If all goes well, I'll liveaboard my sailboat part of the year, keep my house or sell both and get a bigger boat ;) I plan to do this with or without a collapse, but it works for both situations.

A boat would not be a bad way to go, you can get power from solar, use wind to power the boat most of the time, catch your food in the ocean.

I'll have both solar and wind power, I'll have a water tank and water maker, water purification. Tools and extra spare parts too.
I've been eating meals made from items that last a long time such as canned fish (which I've enjoyed since childhood), dry grains, and even powdered meals. Plenty of dried spices, and liquid spices (soy sauce, tabasco,...) to provide flavor and variety. I'll have a small refrigerator/freezer, but I don't want to rely on refrigeration. Good and economical ;)
I fish, crab, shrimp, harvest oysters, etc. now. I plan to get a 12' saltwater fishing cast net soon, and start practicing.
If I'm not sailing to a destination or weathering a storm, I'll be spending most of my days on food gathering activities, cleaning, maintenance, and charting. Plenty of things to do to keep me busy on a sailboat.

Sounds awesome man, good luck with your plans! I myself want a few acres near some mountains in NC, gotta figure out how I will earn once I get there, Once I have figured that out I will plan my move once I save enough, have a few animals, chickens etc.. plant a large garden and try to live off my land as much as possible, plus it is relaxing to live out in the country.

They saw it coming because it came before. We only slightly operate in a vacuum. The evidence of prior knowledge is really just there under the surface of things.
As time goes on these clues become buried, people forget and the cycle repeats. In the swing era of the 1920s the last thing people were learning was how Feminism destroyed ancient cultures. That's how women secured the vote.

seriously. i am MGTOW from indirect experience. most of my relationships were happy or ok at the least. not meant to last (AWALT) but not like horrific in any way, but even the best ones, were FULL of nags. and i'm a very calm and well articulated person in relatipnships. like i will raise my voice maybe once a year and never have any fights with AnYONE from friends to family to coworkers, but damn if every woman i dated didn't find some idiotic reason to nag.

If they think men were being feminized and degeneracy was beginning, what is real masculinity? Like, I can observe some things and can tell a more feminine man from a masculine one, but what does complete masculinity look like in an individual, let alone a society? Idk how to define masculinity concretely or thoroughly as I don’t think there’s any true men I know, just various shades. Anyone else?

Well every man will have their own different definition of masculinity. My idea of masculinity is doing whats necessary no matter how much it hurts. For example saying no to women's rights. In the past, men were too weak to say no women's rights and thus began the downfall of our country based on their inability to do what was necessary at that the time (saying no to women).
