My abusive, manipulative, and unfaithful soon-to-be-ex-wife would literally expect for me to say I'm sorry, ask for forgiveness, and make a written plan to make sure I never do it again. If I ever were to fail, I was not truly apologetic.

It was never over anything substantial. It would be over things like having dirty dishes left over after cooking supper or wanting to not be near her when she is being abusive.

She never had to do any of these things as she never actually does anything wrong, and if she does do something considered wrong, I deserved it meaning she has something to apologize for.

I'm done with women.
