So I just found out this was a thing. I haven’t sworn off woman per say. But I have stopped caring about them and trying to appeal to them. I used to walk into a bar or a party or some get together and I’ll instantly look for who is the hottest in the room. Now I don’t care. I go places to hang out or take care of my business. My dad put this idea in my head when I was younger that I should be out sleeping with as many girls as possible because thats what he did. But I’ve slept with all kinds and I’m kind of bored. They all do the same thing yet they make it seem like i should be grateful they’re giving me the time. Whie I appreciate a chick here and there no female will every be the cream of the crop. I’ve been in love of course. that feeling eventually dies. It’s all a game to me, sometimes I win. But I’m 27 that game of guessing what the other sex wants all the time has become tiresome. There’s hidden messages or signs I have to pick up on. And now in this new age of “girl power” it’s become even worse. Sometimes I’ll go out and see a girl staring at me smiling, but when I approach them they act like I’m some sort of weirdo. One night I asked 10 women! Ten! For their phone number. Not a one night stand. Just a number. I got 0 and this was after having , what I believe, was good conversation with them and buying drinks. I’m not a creep by any means either. Everyone I’ve met has told me that I’m a gentleman and a good guy. But being a gentleman won’t get you by anymore.

This past year I’ve had a whole new mindset. I completely stop acknowledging women when I go places. Not in a rude sense but in a “wow she’s really pretty” sense. I go places I don’t check women out, I don’t attempt to hit on them. I’ll say hi but that’s it. I stopped acting like I need a girl in my life or in my phone. But in doing this I’ve gotten more attention from woman more than ever. It’s the strangest shit ever. My friends will see me and say shit like “yo that chick was checking you out bro!” And wouldn’t even notice. Just last week a girl was hitting on me and I didn’t even notice. She was upset that I turned her down from a one night stand. She was extremely pretty and I don’t think she’s used to being said no. I asked for her number instead. I’ve yet to text her lol.

Update: Folks, I did not make this post to upset or hurt anyone. This post was meant to uplift anyone who is feeling down about their ability to meet a woman. I used to go to the bar or clubs and I’d be depressed or sad sitting there alone getting drunk because I believed I HAD to have a woman on my arm to feel complete. And that’s the wrong mentality.

To be clear I don’t hate women, I love them all in fact. But I love myself way more to be sad because I can’t live up to the standard they’ve made. I refuse to let my self esteem crumble because they don’t know what they want. My whole life I’ve adapted to their ways. (How to dress, how to speak, what to think) but I finally gave up but it seems like giving up is also a form of adaptation.
