Hello, Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm technologically illiterate so I apologize if the link below doesn't work.
Quick intro: I'm not a MGTOW, I discovered the concept after being married and having a son. I lucked out because my wife is a trad-con (we are both from conservative/traditional Asian families). However I am very much libertarian, and I admire MGTOW because of the live-and-let-live attitude that is inherent to the mindset. Additionally my hobbies have differed from my peers in high-school (preferred reading to watching televised sports and drink alcohol) as well as college (fiscal conservative in a mob of left-wingers) so I developed an attitude along the lines of "I'd rather be alone to pursue my interest than to give up my interests to be part of the crowd", so I hopefully understand what you guys go through.
Anyhow, I wanted to share the following video and link.
The Secret About Government Power: What They Won’t Tell You! - Stefan Molyneaux https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZIFqylnJmc
Quick summary of the video: The people in power create social institutions that marginalize and/or shame people who "see the matrix for what it is" in order to maintain control over the population. Essentially they make critical thinking and independence "uncool" so that people who don't comply are shamed into obedience by their "peers".
I noticed the parallel with attempted shaming of MGTOWs by the current generation of feminists and blue-pill white knights in order to "keep men on the plantation". I don't agree with Stefan Molyneaux on every issue in every video, but I think he really hit the nail on the head. Just like the governments rely on the sheeple to point out and stamp out most of the dissidents, the current feminists rely on the media and white knights to keep MGTOW from spreading.

Why do you think there has been such a backlash against intellectuals. George Bush was elected because so many people said "I'd share a beer with that guy" Every crackpot with a keyboard or mic is given a platform in the name of "being fair" How else would there be a "controversy" surrounding evolution. Not all ideas are equal. A healthy debate can be had over who was a better anti-hero character, Jax Teller or Tony Soprano but not about whether vaccines cause autism. Some moron's opinion is not evidence on the level with thousands of scientists actual research and direct field observations.
Side note, I am in the same situation as you, but I have nothing but respect for this community.
