This is exactly the scenario I am facing now. This other girl claims she was interested, and I had initiated the last five or so text exchanges between the two of us. The last conversation (beginning of January) she was kind of halfhearted in her responses, so I left it there. No exchanges since then, and I've moved on.

This was literally one of the biggest reasons I broke up with my last girlfriend. I would literally always initiate contact, if i didn't do it for two days, we weren't talking for two days, and she had the fucking balls to say she was the one putting in all the effort. No thank you.

Orbiting is the most pathetic thing ever. This guy thats friends with most of my friends is a notorious serial orbiter. Multiple women I've fucked have shown me the pathetic stuff he texts them. They're repulsed by the guy but obviously keep him around for validation and favors.

I did this. With all of my friends, ex girlfriends everything. One day I just went off the grid and stopped INITIATING and I got my answer. I was known as the "glue" that kept people together socially. Used to plan hangouts with my friends, movies, everything. I stopped initiating and all of those connections faded. No one bothered to initiate back. Male or female. 3 did. They showed me they were my real friends. Everyone else? Sporadic yearly contact at best now.

It sucks because you don't want to miss an opportunity to be with someone you really like but you may actually be missing out on other opportunities. Dudes who seem to get lots of babes probably just don't waste time with women who are clearly not interested in them. They just show a little interest, if the women reciprocates, pursue, if not, then it's on to the next one.

Years ago I had been dating a girl for a several months. I ended up getting really busy and we didn't speak for about 3 weeks. She called me annoyed that I hadn't contacted her in that time. I ask why it mattered, I was busy. She said it was unacceptable to go that long and not speak with the person you are dating. I asked her why she didn't call me then. She didn't have an answer for that. I ended the call by letting her know this wasn't going to work for me any longer.

It is always about attention and validation. I don't think anyone would argue that women in general seek (perhaps need) external validation to a much greater degree than men. Truly I would argue that men are significantly better at self motivation. This is a key differentiator between men and women and is a prime example of where men are stronger than women. The need for external validation creates a dependence on others to fulfill a key need. This is also a very determental trait for anyone in a leadership position. Take from that what you wish.

Yeah i do the same. Then they stop texting you for a while, they think something is wrong or u are mad at her :D Actually you just dont care about her. And they are calling you some time to time and when you don't answer they don't text back like they just want to check you are still in her or not and if you open they will blame you for "hi u never call me text me wtf u are bad person". Haha, reminds me of my young lad teen days, when I was kinda infatuated with this chick (not really, I just wanted a GF, any GF, and that one seemed interested at first). I kept trying to strike up conversations with her but she always sounded dismissive and uninterested. One day I asked if she was annoyed because I was messaging her constantly, and she answered no, she wanted me to keep messaging her. Thankfully I wasn't so stupid that I couldn't read in between the lines: she liked the attention, but didn't want anything to do with me. Never messaged her after that, and I'm sure she didn't miss it one bit (since she never ever attempted to contact me right after that).
