She’s not happy, she’s not perfect either. But she is definitely LAZY.
I wish I could buy stock in kitty-litter & boxed wine.

Every time I buy computer parts lately I also get some €75 voucher for some boxed wine company in parcel
[–]Intelligent_Ad_13899 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Cheap boxed wine in spain costs €1
That’s alot of wine

Australia is a little bit strange when it comes to alcohol, for example, the cheapest 24 pack of beer that you can buy is $48. You can't save money with spirits either, the cheapest 700mL bottle of vodka is $32. The financially wise Australian alcoholics choose cheap boxed wine (AKA goon), a 4L box of medium dry red wine which is 9.50% ABV and this would cost $12.

Good protip for getting inexpensively blasted down under. But why in the fuck are beer and the like so expensive?
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
It sounds expensive to non Australians but the way our $ is $48 isn't really a lot of money . It's not the equivalent to $48usd and our wages are higher .
[–]LordGraygem2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh, okay, thought it was something similar to how cigarettes are priced down there (which I understand have spiked to be the highest in the world).
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think a pack of 20 are about $30aud which is about average hourly wage . That's $23usd so yeah I would agree that our cigarettes are dam expensive .

I workout hard every day, but when will I see muscle growth? I want to be muscular.
[–]1500minus1221 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Are you eating a caloric surplus?
Are you taking creatine drinking 100 Oz of water a day and having supplementary protein shakes?
What lifts are you doing? Are you doing too much cardio?
[–]Joshuahunter7734319 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What do you do when the answer is yes to all except the free weights coz gyms are shut. Been doing push ups and pull ups in the park but I just don’t feel that same rip so I’m losing motivation.

[–]Mr-Throb-of-life0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Caloric surplus is not needed go grow muscle tissue.
[–]Chugg4Chugg410 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
depends on several things, the workout, what you eat, the time you sleep and your genetics, but in general in 1 year you can see the changes, also train everyday is not good at all
[–]The_SHUN8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You're working out everyday, that's the problem
[–]Funderwoodsxbox1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What about a 6 day PPL split? I thought because you were strategically splitting up muscle groups and you give each group 3 days for recovery plus a day off a week it’s totally fine.
[–]The_SHUN3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Tbh I am the bigger fan of 3x2, 3 days full body lifts, 2 days for light cardio and conditioning, trains the coordination better, but I don't really care about size tbh, all I care is speed, power and endurance, if looking like shit gives me that, so be it
[–]asshole67throw1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It’s not really a problem though if you eat enough. Plenty of builders/labourers get “accidentally jacked” and they’re not taking rest days.
[–]The_SHUN0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Weekends?
[–]asshole67throw0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So? They’re not doing a split. It’s not like they turn around and say “Monday I shall only lift bricks for lower body. Tuesday I shall only use a sledge hammer for upper body”
They generally “work full body” 5-6 days straight.
[–]TheKongClan5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You need to rest too. Active rest like walking, can't just workout everyday.
I saw great progress in a month. But I made sure to have a good sleep schedule, rest days, healthy eating with some fasting. I also did HIIT and calisthenics alongside weight training.
Exercise is just one factor, brother.
[–]battle-obsessed4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You are offering basically no information. How many years have you been working out? What do you mean by 'muscular'? Your standards may be too high for a natural.

Ideal body building is a science look up some youtube videos

You'll see growth when you hit the intermediate benchmarks here. To see definition, your body fat should be under 15% (use the waist circumference formula here). 500-700 deficit until you get to 10%-12%, then bulk at maintenance+200. 100g of protein per day should be enough, no need to go overboard. Most naturals can gain up to 3 pounds of muscle a month; anything over that will most likely be fat. If you're in your mid-late twenties and started from scratch, expect visible results in a year.
[–]hydromarine1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This formula is totally inaccurate. Go to the dietician and make real measurements.
[–]12E21C61 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, calipers are preferable, but both methods are within 1% for me. YMMV
[–]ClutchNes1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
what do yo exactly do? 1. you need a calories surplus to be sure, another option would be body recomposition(burning fat while growing muscle), but this would slow down the process of gaining muscle tissue, the safer choice is to bulk and later drop the calories intake 2. especially as a beginner you need good sleep and 48 hours or even 72 hours rest, depending on how hard and long your sessions been. 3. consuming at least 1,5g per kg/2lbs of body weight in protein.
[–]honeybadger-694201 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lift weights and focus less on cardio, eat more protein. If you're skinny, eat more overall but focus on protein. Remember to sleep and recover. Your muscles will only grow during sleep.
[–]Atesz7631 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I started seeing the first results in a couple of months, they were subtle, but it my shape got better and better, I got more muscles and my posture improved, basically just eat healthy and don't stop working out

this is true, men and women, people who "settle" without improving are just lazy, there's always to improve, sorry Mr. Rogers but saying something like "i'm perfect just the way i am" is just being lazy

One should always strive for self-improvement.
I think this philosophy is one of the pillars of MGTOW.
[–]Reversevagina0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Psychoanalysts would say she's just articulating her inability to change. In other words, she could change, but she lacks willpower, so she tries to convince herself through manipulating others that everything is "okay".
[–]rayedward3630 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This sums up the overall body images in the US at least. At first, the "I will never be perfect" feels like a depressing thought, and it may hurt, but eventually you learn. You learn that this means that you can continually strive towards a more perfect you, and eventually you stop seeking perfection and instead look for what makes you satisfied with life.
On the other side... no comment.
