I have an older (10 or 11 y/o) female cat? and i recently acquired a younger male cat (1 maybe 2 y/o)

right before i ditched the ex wife? i went "missing". everyone was looking for me, worried. boss, friends, etc.

when i made it home? 7 to 10 days after i disappeared and had an emergency and was caught away?

my female CAT? meowed her HEAD off, and not just laid on me, but would PUSH herself down onto me... she clearly loved me and missed me.

it took the cat WEEKS to realize things were back to normal, before it was "okay" for me to go to work and come home normal.

my human woman? nothing. no call, nothing. Oh, she KNEW i was missing? friends called HER wondering what might have happened to me? and her response was "oh, he'll turn up..."

so? i WAITED after i got home... to SEE, how long it would TAKE for her to wonder where i was. If i was alive, if i ever made it home. I steadfastly REFUSE tro call HER, i wanted to SEE.

its been what? i'm gonna guess 4 years or more... we technically never broke up (after 28+ years) but... i refused to call, and i was very content to just let it slip away. It obviously wasnt worth anything.

now, my female CAT? totally different story. the cat displayed the love and dedication i expected out of the human female. The CONCERN. the fear i was gone?

i tell people that the CAT is my woman now, and relate the story. That cat eats STEAK if she wants, right off my own plate.

that cat? shames the human female, in many ways. Its UNBELIEVEABLE. I'd sooner be married to my CAT than my ungrateful ex, that i always bit my lip around, and bent over backward to please.

That CAT? is worth more, in my eyes, than any human female. I always DID appreciate animals more than humans in many ways? this all just SOLIDIFIED it in my mind.

I agree. I have a cat and she greets me, but unlike a dog, after a few minutes she will go do her own thing. She also doesn't mind if I leave for a few days as long as I leave her.

Opposed to a dog who will be up your butt forever, can't be left alone, and often demand attention constantly much like a wife..... but, treat the dog well and they are more loyal than your wife ever will be.
