I am Hungarian and my sister tried to pull this shit. She tried to manipulate me when I was a kid and push her feminism on to me. Didn't make any sense even when I was a kid.
I remember she once woke me up screaming because she fell into the toilet. Went to pee at night and didn't check the seat. It was my fault of course :D
Interestingly noone else ever had this issue in our home. It's not like I never had to poop when I was sleepy, somehow I have the ability to check if the seat is down or not...

It never ends. Living alone helps. I did know someone who had a house rule to keep the lid down. They had pets. That made sense.

Same rule in my apartment. My chihuahua is gross and likes to swim and drink the toilet water, but can't get back out once he's in there.
