I've said this in a previous post..learn how the law works and speak for yourself in court!
If you do some research you will find that lawyers are not on your side(even though you're paying him). The Lawyer is how the system attempts to keep everyone in line. It's in print that only 16% of cases going through the courts are allowed to suceed in gaining an aquittal (rare in this day) or a stay of proceedings. Why? To keep the illusion that you have access to justice alive! It is also in print, in (corpus jurisdiction secundum) a publication in Canada, that "the defence lawyer was made part of the court system in 1980! He will represent and defend his clients interests up to the point it conflicts with the wishes of the court." The lawyer must then side with the court! Made me look twice as I had a hard time believing this. But upon a little research and a conversation about this with a friend who happens to be a lawyer, it was confirmed.
But don't take my word for it! Please do your due diligence! And don't wait till the wolves are at your door to start learning! It is tough and stressful to have to learn while your being put through the mill!
