JP does the same as Musk. He often pauses to consider what he is going to say and formulates his sentences. He has said in previous interviews, that he values precision in speech. He has also admitted (in an interview) that this is a likely scenario of him going down. Ill considered words or a 30 sec photo op with fans, which is taken out of context because they want the famous JP associated with their agenda

Peterson is just on the right of left. He's what liberals were twenty or maybe thirty years ago now. He doesn't actually support many Rightist ideals, nor offbeat things like MGTOW, having gone on record as being against it. He's not a hero. He's just not as bad. And I can respect that, but not support it.

In my head I characterise him as a hawkish liberal free of the SJW and PC nonsense that plagues the left. Which is essentially how I regard my own political posture.

Politics, at least of the past ~150-300 years, has been a continued march to the left. What is insanely far leftist today (gender bendy stuff, open indoctrination of children, polyamory) will become center or right of left in 50-75 years. What were left of right or center right ideals 50-75 years ago have become super far extremist rightist views today. Politics and the state of humanity is of course much more complex then this, but this general trend remains true.

I’m not too concerned about the directions of mainstream politics. The right and the left, capitalism and socialism, etc all have strengths and a whole bunch of moronic values. I know what I like and don’t subscribe to the idiocies of the right or the left, past, present or future. I am more comfortable with my own ideology which is a mix ‘n match of existing value systems and does not involve tired political preformatted retreads.

I understand this mentality, and am not very far off from it. Like Stardusk makes claim to, I also don't identify as being of a particular political wing, faction, party, or ideology. I have my own set of beliefs and preferences, and wherever that puts me, if it puts me anywhere at all, is irrelevant to me. That being said, it's naive to think the mainstream won't come after you, as we constantly see with how it reacts to MGTOW, incels, and men as a whole. Sure, I may not be able to fully support anyone or any idea, but I'd rather support the group that at least just dislikes me as opposed to the group that wants me enslaved.

My cynicism of government is due to being born and growing up under apartheid in South Africa and for the last 20+ years being ruled by the ANC government. I am extremely sceptical of politics and governments. I’m not disliked or in fear of slavery, I’m in fear of my life because political parties and the government always brag about how they will kill me. This makes me feel unwanted and uncomfortable.
