What's up guys, I've been lurking a bunch of MGTOW/TRP stuff for about 8 months now. I'll try to keep this as brief as possible, TL;DR at the bottom.
I'm 30 years old, been married for almost 5 years. Long story short, I don't feel the same about my wife now as when we first got married (shocking...I know).
Recently, we've had to spend a lot of time apart due to my work. Starting back in May, I'm gone for anywhere from 1-4 months at a time. At the time, I wasn't dreading it at all, I was actually really excited to spend time away from my wife to kind of grow as an individual. We talked/texted/skyped pretty regularly to start, but that has faded very quickly, and sometimes we'll only text maybe 5-10 exchanges per day pretty frequently. I tell her it's because I'm busy with work and what not, but in reality I just don't want to fucking talk on the phone with her anymore about the same shit as yesterday and the weeks and months before.
Deep down, I'm not sure what it is that I want. I don't want to NOT be with her, but I also don't want to be in a relationship. I know that doesn't really make much sense, but that's just where my head is at. I've come to enjoy being "alone" and living my own life for long periods of time. When I go home, it's nice at first, but after about a week I'm ready to GTFO already.
I don't know what the hell to do. My family and friends still think everything is peachy from the outside looking in. I know how I feel. I'm pretty sure my wife knows how I feel. I just don't have the heart to tell her how I feel because quite frankly I care for her and I don't want it to destroy her. My greatest hurdle right now is that, and the fact that I don't want to regret divorcing her when I really have a pretty good thing going to be honest. I'm not exactly scared of being alone after getting a pretty good taste of it over the last few months, but I AM worried that I will eventually come to resent it and tell myself "why the fuck did I do that?!". I know, I know...AWALT, unicorn, divorce rape, go ahead and say it....I know this might not be the best place to look for "middle of the road" advice.
We don't have any kids, we do have a small starter house that I don't really give a damn about, and we have a dog.
I'm wondering if anybody else has been in a similar situation, and can speak on what they did and what they would have done differently.
TL;DR - losing feelings for my wife, enjoying some freedom, on the fence about divorce - don't want to regret it.

Well... suck it up buttercup!
You're already hitched. From what you've described it doesn't sound like she's anywhere NEAR the worst woman in the world.

Yeah maybe you shouldn't have married... but you DID. You did in fact make a commitment to her.
Now if she hasn't done anything to nullify that -- and from what you're saying she hasn't -- then you would be a bit of an ASS to just toss it away because the "polish" is gone off the apple.
What you've lost wasn't "all feeling for your wife" -- it's just that the infatuation & early "thrills" have disappeared (i.e. the proverbial "honeymoon" period is over) -- and apparently you weren't prepared for that (though you damned well should have been), but instead rather foolishly you seem to have either given that no thought at all, or believe they were gonna go on (effortlessly) forever.
--
Yeah you COULD ditch her. She'll get over you and move on -- one way or another -- although without cause, well she would (IMO) rightfully want to extract a few pounds of flesh in the meantime. Oh, and yeah, you almost certainly WOULD eventually regret that. (You might be able to "justify" it to yourself that the change which she would undoubtedly go through would have happened eventually anyway -- and that thus it was an indicator of future problems -- but really that'd be a lie, because you would have created the "wounded bear" yourself... and for no reason.)
ALTERNATELY, you could quit being a "whiny little boy who's grown bored with last Christmas's toy" -- and realize that now is when the true relationship can begin to be developed -- but that it will take work (like everything else in the adult world).

Your choice really; don't try to shift responsibility for making it off onto someone else.
