Pick up the phone and call a good lawyer (look them up on avvo.com). Once things get set in motion you will feel more comfortable with what's happening. And definitely do this before your wife does that herself.

Be very thankful that you do not have kids. As bad as things are now, it would be 10x worse with kids. Not only would it make your exit plan from the marriage far more painful, but studies have shown that children reduce the happiness of the parents.

Wait until she goes away for a weekend. Then pack your things and move out to a new place. Wait for her when she comes back. Give her the divorce papers and walk away to your new home. Packing while someone is screaming at you sucks.

Before you leave you mighty want to try family therapy. Barring that, you know what you need to do. The best course of action is to start putting money aside in your own account (or cash if you can hide it from her), contact a good lawyer, and start the divorce process.

The good news for you is that you don't have any children with this woman because that would seriously complicate the matter.

Get it done and don't look back. I did it after 15 years and couldn't be happier.
