Head down to a union hall and see what's going on. I welded for 3 years. It sucked. I roofed for 2 weeks. It sucked worse. Got into carpentry. Still there 30+ years later. Find your trade. Shit gets better.

Well work sucks. The best is to get a job in a profession you like, so it sucks a little less. Even better would be to start a company, make it profitable and sell it for 1-10 million bucks and retire early on that money. But not everyone is cut out for that, neither am I.

Don't know about your country, but here in germany you can get a below college degree with an apprenticeship. At the end of a 3 year apprenticeship during which you will be payed below minimum wage and will be forced to go to school, you get a degree.

For many guys that was the right path. I don't know about your options, you should research what options are available to you.

Yeah, video games are a waste of life. They are a funny pastime, when they are a side-gig, but that's about it. It's funny, how playing too much video games can alter one's taste in video games. You can find yourself having insane fun at seeing some pixel characters in e.g. nethack or Dwarf Fortress doing some stupid feat like wielding a cockatrice for a weapon and then stumble down a set of stairs because you are overencumbered and turn into stone (still laughing about that).

That being said, it's fair game to masturbate to your heart's content, play video games, read your favorite novel or meditate your brain into oblivion. In a hundred years time, none of that will matter. Some of these pastimes are looked upon by society in a more favorable, and some of them in a less favorable way. Do whatever makes you happy.

Many people, who can think for themself tend to take up some craft, like e.g writing books or engineering technology to prolong their legacy. After all it's thoroughly satisfying seeing the fruits of your labor benefitting others.

I would recommend electrician, plumber, or HVAC. All make good money and are in high demand. The average age of people in these fields are over 55. They NEED skilled tradesmen. So you will make bank and have job security. If you can't afford trade school one option is enlisting in the Air Force and doing your 4 years in HVAC and then leaving and making 60k+. I would recommend civilian first if you can afford it. Wishing you the best of luck!!

Personally, i wouldn't waste your training as a welder. Still, if the pay sucks right now - and you are not even having fun in that city - i would consider moving away. Find a city that you could like more, maybe a better climate, where your skills would be payed more. What do you have to lose? It will be an adventure, at least.

I am an electrotechicien, but I learn a lot of maintenance and now Im doing a mecanical job. Learn your job, do a lot of different work, I am at my 11th job. I was in your shoes with almost the same mind, there is always hope, it's not the destination but your state of mind everyday.

If you have a passion, live with it.Spend effective hours to your own work and be a true professionnal.Learn, learn ,learn, breath for what you love.For the money part, do little differents jobs, interim jobs, and try; exepreince is only made trought failed jobs and mistakes.

Money is good but experiences is pricelesss, learning from old folks or System D alone is a true blessing in disguise.Because you will use all this knowledge on day or another.Prepare to be in pain but to grow. I'm 29 now, I'm doing a last tech job but iwill switch gears 100% after my last job.

You could do a super specialisation in special welding, it will cost but it's an investment, you need to ask yourself, am I really willing to spend time to be a special welder? I know this job is scarce but could be really well paid at high level, you have your chances.

See if you can monetize video games by uploading it on twitch or youtube. Some people prefer to watch other people play video games.

For example, a bloke is busy at work or sitting at home eating stuff. he can't play video games while eating. Plus it's also fun watching other people mess up while play video games. So there's a big audience out there. Of course to make money, you will have to be consistent and build up your audience base.

You'll need a decent computer with internet access and a video recording software to start your game streaming adventure.
