It amazes me (but doesn't surprise me) that a woman who is attracted to you would prefer to admire your face in a window reflection (where you have no clue you are being admired) than give you any direct confirmation of attraction. Think about that. I take it as she's unwilling to give you validation, whereas she fully expects it from you (a stranger) and will get angry when it's not given.

Again, she'll stare at your reflection in the mirror at the Chinese take out spot before giving you an ounce of direct attention.

Most women and many men don't have the guts to tell people directly what they think.. we live in a society where it's socially acceptable to act nice to people and put on a good act but then talk about them behind their backs, and I swear I see everyone at work do it, all the time.

Women expect men to be able to read their minds instead of simply telling them what the problem is. This lack of communication is part of the reason for their never being satisfied. Then instead of having a little bit of common sense and not revealing intimate relationship details they go and tell all their "girlfriends" who don't really have their best interests at heart and those girlfriends give her bad advice, which makes it all the worse.

TL;DR: I shouldn't have to read your fucking mind... speak up.

Men are actually exceptionally good at reading signs and hints. But we are straightforward and express what we mean without subtext so it is difficult to translate those signs because they are all subtext and akin to a different language. And to make it worse, women often give incredibly mixed signs and hints or give none but expect us to simply read their minds. Because we should just know.

This is one of the primary and glaring differences between men and women:

Men usually say what they mean mean what they say (I certainly do) . Men rarely give hints. That form of communication is not really in our nature, it lacks a directness and clarity that we prefer, In our work clairty saves live and gets the job done.

Women on the other have rarely say what they mean or mean what they say. They will hint a mofo to death instead of engaging in straight talk and then blame it on the man.

As a man I usually get the hints, and I usually ignore them. I refuse to stoop that kind of blurry indirect insinuative communication where Vague rules the context and actual substance and clarity is nonexistent.
