Be selfish. Ask yourself constantly "whats in it for me?" Remind yourself that others don't give a shit about you so why would you care about them? Even your best friend would try to pull you under if they were drowning. Or stab you in the back if they believed they could gain from it. Look out for yourself because nobody else will.
