I've noticed an underlying sentiment in some of the MGTOW posts that things would be different for you if you were a "Chad" and not who you are: this is an incorrect sentiment. While this thought pattern isn't necessarily overt in MGTOW, I'd like to offer a perspective from the "greener" grass.

As a bit of background, and the components that women tend to notice, I've gone to good colleges. I have a good job, and several income streams tied to solid investment accounts. Although I'm not over 6', I'm tall enough, symmetrical, athletic, and muscular. I draw enough female attention that it's become more annoying than fun. I've got the "this guy fucks" vibe, and I'm large enough that I'm on the big dick problems sub; although I'm not huge, my partners are regularly multi-orgasmic. Women perceive me as, "good enough to be on the Bachelor, but smart enough not to go." Which is to say that women perceive me as a top-tier man. Notice that none of these thing speak to the quality of my character.

Now, consider the nature of hypergamy: would a woman continually fuck someone who isn't as good as her? Would she be in a relationship with someone she doesn't respect and admire, and who is consistently better than her and every other man within her reach? Perhaps she might stay for money or great sex, but she'll upgrade as soon as something better surfaces that she can actually attain. Moreover, all women are pursuing the same top-tier men while ignoring the rest, which reveals the Achilles' heel of relationships: female mating strategy pairs an inferior woman with a superior man, which means the woman gets the better deal. Add in the adage that women age like milk, and a long-term relationship is clearly a losing trade for the man while being great for the woman. If you stack the structure of family courts on top of this relationship dynamic and pair it with women initiating the majority of divorces, then the trade further polarizes the benefits derived by each party. Furthermore, spending time with an inferior partner does not make a person better or improve their circumstances unless the inferior one has some complimentary or supplementary skills that benefits the superior party. Therefore, the only time marriage makes sense is when a man has a religious compulsion to marry, or if he wants children as part of his biological imperative. This conclusion is particularly relevant when you consider that women no longer wish to take care of household duties or raise children, often preferring to work outside the home while outsourcing their maternal obligations. So I ask you: what complementary or supplementary skills are offered by women aside from carnal pleasure under the prevailing paradigm? If you're life is like a meal, then women are like a soda: tasty with your food, but bad for your health.

You see, at various times, I've played the field, been divorce-raped, gone monk mode, and kept a soft harem while living the life I want. Playing the field and fucking around with women on occasion was fun, but unfulfilling. My wife turned out to be a covert narcissist, and she tried to slowly destroy my soul: she failed. Monk mode was deeply fulfilling and a time of immense personal growth and satisfaction. Keeping a soft harem is stressful at times, but can be pretty fun when paired with living life on one's own terms; I believe women call these arrangements a situationship. Still, the companionship I've had with women has been adequate in the short-term, but rather disappointing over a longer period of time. In retrospect, most of the "adequateness" of the relationship derived from sexual tension and its release, rather than anything more profound. Even the most educated women with a robust intelligence and unique life experience tend to lack the proclivity to discuss issues at length without having their feelings hurt when a disagreement or counterpoint is raised; the majority are petty, shallow, and vapid. In fact, the best companionship I've found is in the company of other men of a similar caliber, and with my dog.

In terms of life satisfaction, fucking feels great, and fucking three different high-quality women over a weekend (separately or together) is exciting, but the feeling is fleeting. Sex, like cocaine, is a narcotic whose benefits are compelling, but short-lived. Alternatively, building strong bonds with other men can lead to great satisfaction in life. In my experience, these bonds often lead to the possibility of greater accomplishment because of the natural competition and motivation that arises when men moving in a similar direction in life spend time together and encourage and harass one another onward: the biblical iron sharpening iron. The Grant Study at Harvard made many novel discoveries, one of which is the fact that strong bonds lead to better life outcomes and satisfaction: show me your friends, and I'll show you your future.

Beyond strong interpersonal connections founded upon a mutual interest, the greatest non-familial joy (leaving aside self-mastery and enlightenment for the moment) I've experienced is in mastering a skill and using it to create something novel or useful, and then teaching other men those skills that I've spent years learning and honing, although mastery is only the beginning. I believe that Miyamoto Musashi's pursuit of the "Path" is the right way for a man to live if he would rather not turn his life over to a woman and the demands of domestic responsibilities. Deciding what you want, and then dedicating your life to pursuing it is a worthwhile endeavor. Building your ideas and desires into existence is profoundly satisfying and deeply rewarding. Experiencing everything this world has to offer will afford the opportunity of welcoming death when it comes, not begging for more time because you failed to seize the day. In fact, I hope every man reading this will master himself, cultivating his intestinal fortitude, building an indomitable soul, and finding the joy that self-mastery and self-direction afford a man who has first conquered himself. From a position of strength and courage, of wholeness with no need for another to make one whole, I implore you all to build the life you want, not the life that someone else wants for you.

TLDR: Stop being a lazy fuck and actually read things: there are no shortcuts in life worth taking.
