How many other companies out there are claiming women are unable to use their products?

Yep, and apparently women are needed to design for women... Let's forget about that fashion industry where the largest names are male.

This has kind of gone all the way around and now sounds insulting to women. Like they’re too stupid to figure out how a computer works.

IIRC he suggested that google changes its structure so women would have more opportunities to work towards their strengths. Women don't do well in an isolated cubicle environment, for instance. They'd be way better at certain projects than men under certain circumstances. Up to a company to provide the best spaces for people to bring out their best qualities.

Yeah, I think they're virtue signaling and underestimating women. Or maybe things are different for the millenials.
A few years ago, when XP support dropped I switched my 60 y/o mom's computer over to ubuntu. No issue at all. A year ago she got an android tablet, again no issues what so ever. All I had to do was explain to her the basics of how to get around, she figured out the rest! I wonder if Google learned about this story they'd submit it to /r/thatHappened.

Haha! Seems I've trained my mom a bit better! I never did anything for her that she should be able to figure out herself. Sure, it was a hassle getting her to know the difference between the desktop password and hotmail. But the initial patience of having her try and fail paid off big time in the long run. When she switched to the tablet, I didn't need to teach her again which password was for which environment. ;-)
Some funny situations do come up though. She hadn't used the desktop for a while after using her tablet, and she started to touch the screen to launch the browser. We called it a senior moment and laughed about it. Still do, actually.

My mom is a lot of the same, but not always in the same flattering way. She actually redpilled me in some ways, but was great at offering bad advise in many others.
She's not really a teacher but ran a successful business in the past (and cooked and cleaned and all that while working 10h/day, though my grandparents, bless their souls, helped out a lot as well), and is now working at a school as someone who watches over the children at playtime and after school daycare.
The piece of worst advice I've ever gotten was: "Are you sure you want to break up with L? You'll be alone and lonely.". The only reply I had to that was to say that I'd rather be alone, than being lonely in a relationship.
It's nice to be able to look up at our parents, even if they're not perfect and can be frustrating. It's still a huge value that shouldn't be neglected.

I'm unclear if this means she supports you for being single for your wellbeing, or for the wellbeing of a woman falling for you. ;-)
Being strong willed is good in my book. What some perceive as stubborn others perceive as confident. In the end, you do you and that's all that matters.

I think many women of our parent's generation understand this. Can't speak for the men.
It's the same here, though I packaged it slightly different for her. She's worked hard to achieve a certain level of luxury (not fuck you money, but she's comfortable). She used to bug me about grandchildren and finding a new gf, but I asked: "When you're gone, and I die, would you rather have that our belongings end up with my godchildren, or with the children of some woman who made them with different men and won't be related to you or me?"
Case closed. :)
