The YOW means your own way. If kids is the way you want to go, go for it. But do yourself a favor and talk to some dads about the experience. What I’ve gotten is something along the lines of “I love my kids, but they took away a lot of my freedom.”

I have two kids. Both great but both totally different. There’s this whole nature/nurture debate. Having the two has made me come to believe that it’s 99% nature. These kids are hardwired from birth to be the way they will be and there is little influence you can have.

Being a farmer is a good idea.

When it's time to fill out the 13-F and the assets you can list are your vegetables, she will get half of your vegetables and you can give her the rotted ones.

However, she can still run off with the guy she meets on Facebook and claims "domestic violence". Your inventory of hay won't cover the lawyer. Sorry no kids for you even in 2018.

Theres surrogacy and adoption. Adoption would probably be the better way to go.

Dude, live a good life for yourself first. Find out what you are made of, make something of yourself, and then revisit your initial notion.

When you become a father, you are an expression of who you are from the day you were born up to that moment(for the most part). The experience you instill, your level of patience, outlook on life, are but a snapshot you pass on to your offspring.

I've raised children(not my own) in to adulthood and I'm not even 40 yet. If I choose to ever do a second round, I will be much better for it not just based on prior experience with raising children, but the person I have become from the divorce.

"Daddy's Little Princess" types are usually pretty insufferable no matter what age they are... from toddler to adult.

When they're VERY young it's obviously really not their fault, and so you can and often do feel sorry for them -- especially knowing what being raised in that way is likely to mean for their future (which ain't gonna be good) -- but at the same time, that really doesn't make them any LESS insufferable to be around.

The same can also be true of whiney little pissant bratty/soyboy types -- the kind that in the future generally end up becoming "male feminists" and SJW's -- again, not the kid's fault, but regardless I'd rather not be around them.

In both cases, Princess girls, or soyboys... it's like being around a noisy, yapping, undisciplined and ill-behaved dog... that's really NOT the dog's fault, but doesn't make me LIKE the dog.

OTOH... well mannered, respectful intelligent kids... are a JOY to be around, can be very interesting to talk to (kids have their own take on the world, see things from a "fresh" perspective, and are often a SOLID source of new & different ideas).

Now that TENDS -- in my experience -- to be much MORE true, or common with boys than with girls... but it could also simply be that I really don't pay much attention to little girls, and because I personally do not find the things that they have "ideas" about (whether they are new or not) to be of much interest, or importance, or value.

I will note that you CAN experience at least some of that "inner father" satisfaction by being a mentor/teacher/coach to boys & men who are younger than yourself... they don't necessarily HAVE to be your own children to have a positive impact in their lives.

I have several "sons" (or perhaps "nephews" and sometimes as "little/younger brothers"; especially as they are all fully grown adults for nearly 2 decades now, and have children of their own) -- who are not my sons at all, but whom I knew and mentored/taught for several years a few decades back (and in a a couple of cases, helped them in other ways later on, getting them started in jobs/careers, etc and who stay in touch with me every now and again as a result) -- but who I nevertheless DO think of as if they were to an extent "sons"... of my mind, my values, my skills... if not my genes.

Nah i feel you bro. I’m the only child. And i want my blood to continue. So kids are a option. But it’s not coming no time soon. Ima make it in my career and seek surrogacy as an option and raise my child the best I can.

Wanting to have kids is natural. I don’t like kids but I might want to have them if it was under ideal conditions. At the same time, I have nothing to gain by being a father. If you want kids, go for it, but don’t bet on being able to influence them to your liking.

but if i invested my time in them, on a farmstead or in a rural area, surely I could influence a kid to be a respectable, upstanding citizen of society (especially a son).

the kid is not yours...it's her kid. men have no rights anymore.
