Same risks as cigarettes -- not worth it for the "distinguished" thing, IMO. I would find another way to relax.

I've smoked a pipe on occasion. I like the cherry vanilla tobacco.

I mainly used it just as an aromatic, and rarely inhale, just enough to keep the cherry going, and provide a nice incense effect when I'm outside.

Of course, smoking is stupid, but hey, you do you.

Smoke weed, blunt, joint, pipe, bong whatever. Then do something relaxing like watching a movie, playing video games, discovering new music or just laying out in the yard staring at the sky/stars. Weed has medicinal values such as inflammatory, help with sleeping or eating, you even get a new perspective on things and a clearer head the next day. 0% chance of cancer, 100% chance of laughter. You couldn't go wrong.

Comparing pipe smoking to cigarettes is beyond retarded, it's not the same thing and one can tell if someone even tried to smoke pipe before. For one you don't smoke pípe 20+ times a day, you do it occassionally and you don't inhale the crap into your lungs. It's a stupid comparison. Buy a cheap corncob pipe, they are usually 5 usd, then some mainstream pipe tobacco (usually comes in pouches), a pipe tool (they are cheap aswell, maybe another 5 usd), some pipecleaners, a bic lighter and that is it. I smoke pipe on occassion (1-3 times a month) and find it relaxing. I've also smoked cigarettes for 10 years and quit 2 years ago and now only smoking pipe, it's not even remotely the same thing. Stick to the basics, ignore the aromatics and fancy pipes to begin with.
