Sorry, but being fat because of laziness is what companies producing Food want you to think.
The reality is that if you compare back to the 40's to 70's, or even earlier, people were thinner and basically just ate as much as they wanted. Advertising, sugar, salt, substitute sugars are habit forming, pleasure ceneters in the brain light up like a Christmas tree with that stuff. Couple it with a lot of processed food being pretty devoid of nutrition in the way your body wants it, and you end up with nutrient starved people. This can make you even more hungry.
If people just changed what they ate, then a lot of weight problems would disappear.

It's pretty bad how much sugar substitutes can fuck up someone's diet and overall health. Whenever I go overseas I eat like a pig, but I still lose weight because the food isn't nearly as shitty as it is here.

I didn't include it but we also eat like 3x as my chest meat too.
I mean, during WW 2 people had victory gardens for crying out loud. They would proudly grow veggies so they could make it more on their own and give more food to troops.
Now most HOA's forbid such stuff :( even though it was previously a sign of patriotism.

You realize they sell organic vegetables and organic meat at most stores, right?
The problem is that most people make frozen dinners, hamburger helper, fast food and other terrible shit a staple of their diet.
Soda alone is enough to impact your health significantly when drank everyday. I drink seltzer, water and herbal tea only. I only eat grass fed meat and I eat low carbs.
I make less than $325 a week, it doesn’t take a lot of money to eat healthy.

It's easier for women to be depressed and have low self-esteem because they're always caught up in the fact that they have to be "perfect" and "beautiful". When reality doesn't show them that, then they start to compensate their faults by resorting to self-destructive behavior like binge eating or anorexia because these things bring emotional support that women crave if they can't get it from anywhere else.
Men do a slightly better job but they're not immune from the problem. Men can also feel like worthless shit and turning to food where they can feel numb from the pain they experience starts to become a crutch which is why so many men nowadays are overweight. The average BMI of an American adult male is 29!

The problem I have with body positivity is when fat feminist types take images like the left as a threat. No one is shaming you by saying "I got over a physical disability and regained my confidence through exercise". You aren't allowed to call yourself a crusader for equal rights while simultaneously getting mad at people who choose to better themselves.
