I view social media like a stadium full of dickheads all with bullhorns yelling over each other in an attempt to fill their emptiness with false/useless instances of praise/markers of Social value.

E.g."I have 3,000 friends!"

Delete all social media apps, stick to browser based internet only. Apple for privacy, dump all google anything, Brave browser, Tor browser, VPN, Etc.

Reddit and Youtube. With fake names OC. That's basically all my social media and it's plenty enough. You are not alone.

Don't really engage with other platforms - reddit is great because it is subject, not person focused. Twitter is really just a mechanism for ensuring appropriate customer service these days. I keep Facebook like I used to keep a phone book, around, but consulted only when I want to communicate with someone. LinkedIn is an accretion disc of recruitment agents - I've not actually moved to system building with that but the matter is there for later.
