Writing, which is one of my many trades, has become co-opted by this sort of shit. All of these dumb cunts running about acting like they're journalists, too. Most of them started out writing fanfictions and Tumblr posts, and now there's actual fucking websites hiring these fuckers as 'journalists' to write articles for them.

Furthermore, if they do write fiction, it's ALWAYS some young adult trash about 'coming of age' or 'finding yourself' and never anything even remotely more complicated. Or just trashy smut romance novels.

encountered this at the graduate student counsel awards for best poster, research presentation, etc. I went to many of the talks and the people that won were:

Mostly female
Mostly black or Mexican
If male - obviously, flamboyantly, gay

In addition, the topics of their "research" was bullshit like, "emotional well-being in Trump's America". One of the black female presenters could not even answer questions about how her data was obtained, the possibilities of bias, or how the proper statistical test was determined (her answer was "it's the test we use in lab") and she won. She won while other people presented on topics like new methods for elucidating protein 3-dimensional structures and environmental immuno-toxicology, things that actually fucking matter, and she won. They actually knew their topic the project, and she won.

It sickened me and I almost left during the awards, but I was at the front and it would have been obvious
