And all white! AHAHAHAHAHA! How many men she's been with before?
[–]CeleritySteam11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Why do you think it's all white?
[–]yeethotfam12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Probably because all of the decorations are white

Look, reason why wedding colors are white isn't about "purity"
Its about playing princess, everything about wedding ceremonies that we now perform in the west is about replicating royal weddings.
Used to be completely white clothing was extremely expensive as it was near impossible/very expensive to maintain it clean/white therefore it was only ever seen at/as part of royal weddings.
When it became commercially viable for laymen to buy white garments the wedding industry pushed "royal wedding" style ceremonies to include white dresses.
Frankly not sure where the white dress = virgin bit came from, probably same place as the "2/3/4 paycheck wedding rings" (or is that engagement? meh) came from, wedding industry propaganda.
Either way everything about western wedding are excessive, ridiculous and about playing princess. "her day" not our day, DEFINITELY not your day, hers.

The white color traditionally has always been associated with purity. It's true that the British royalties wear white to come off as a symbol of wealth. It's to display their status of being wealthy and in excess. Queen victoria is not the first to wed in white gown. Although she is "credited" to have started the trend.
I'm making fun of the white display and white dress. A color which associated with purity and innocence is being used by a slut as she walks down the isle holding hand with her simp slave-to-be. White is the antithesis of them.

Fair, just tired of people who mix up white with being "because she is a virgin" mentality
Growing up that's what everyone said because people are all indoctrinated, still its less about purity and the like and more about the fact that its tradition now a days, but i get your point.
They all need to wear dirty patchwork grey, black can still look good, they deserve to have their outward appearance reflect their inner ugliness.

This is all done so the lil child can have her special day she was promised ever since she was called a prinses in 2nd grade (which some never step out of)

Road to hell is paved with good intentions. This is a man's most dangerous walk, happy that few men are taking it as marriage rates plummet.

That’s the groom bout to jump in the water.

Yeah, they're going to watch him march down the aisle, get shackled and weighed down then tossed off the pier in some ritualistic manner.

The same dark taste of public executions, but with a white cake.

Very apt, all things considered.

And just like a devil... the key lies in getting you to voluntarily and enthusiastically agree to do something dangerous and immoral that will destroy your life.
It’s hell because it’s a nightmare of your OWN design!!!

I'm married, I'd take the ocean and I can't swim.
[–]dayone_272 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This man is contemplating launching into the ocean of his new life as a married man. Perhaps he only realizes now that his first mate will have an emergency airlift beacon, she only need press it and government special forces will swoop in and evacuate her while shooting him down with alimony and child support.
The potential for treason is too high. Will he still launch on this ill fated voyage? It’s never too late to turn around and travel your own way, on solid land.

Might as well keep walking, the plank has mercy!

I'd take my chances with the damn sharks.
At least you know the sharks intentions and it may not be hungry.
With the other predator, the deck is stacked against you.

And at the holy “I do” moment, two planks of the pier give way and the bride to be plunges into the concealed tank of great white sharks. But even the sharks refuse to take the bait and spit her back upon the pier flopping like a sardine in a wedding dress. The guests respond in thunderous applause and then eat the wedding cake without plates or utensils. And so a new trend in wedding planning begins. The end.
Thats a long walk off a short pier...

Oh that a strong gust of wind blows any man who walks this path off the pier and that he swiftly drowns. For this is better than the alternative.

It reminds me those old SciFi movies(I think Soylent Green maybe) when they killed people because of overpopulation they dressed them in white and in a white ambient before killing them.

Perfect, him and the boys can just keep going and jump off into the sea :)
