Good question, The mummy is still one of my favourite movies this guy should get more big budget movie roles.
[–]Heatbeat20 points21 points22 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Movie scared the piss out of me when I was younger. The one time they didn’t try to make a mummy look sexy.

Me as well. They don't good movies like that anymore. And if they do they have to meet diversity quotas.

Depends what traits you ascribe to the actual Mummy.

If I was a betting man, I’d say his wife probably gets a portion of everything he makes going forward. That’d be enough for me to go Galt real fast.

She gets $900k/year according to wikipedia. He tried to have it lowered in 2013 and she accused him of hiding assets.

Damn

Skimming through wikipedia, it looks like like he is doing well. He replaced Ray Liotta in some Bollywood thriller and he's also part of the DC universe now. This line in the wikipedia gave me a chuckle, too.
The string of appearances has led many to announce his sudden comeback as the "Brenaissance".

Men with time machine will actually prevent The Great Library of Alexandria from getting caught on fire.
[–]TrumpTrollToll30 points31 points32 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Idk if I’d want to mess with the timeline that much. I’d definitely visit the rare copies section and snag a few before it went down
[–]ripperxbox19 points20 points21 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
assuming that we have the ability to make time machines at that point in time we would also probably have the ability to scan entire rooms perfectly. If that technology allowed you to scan the entire books as well you may be able to preserve the entire library of Alexandria without disrupting the time line.
[–]Kindly-Town12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Done. I'll get this scanning machine, you get time machine.
[–]Kindly-Town9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I would also not interfere with timeline as consequences can be much worse. What I would do is copy every scroll existed on millions of digital photographs, then on the day when Julius Caesar invaded, I would have to set the library on fire to keep the timeline same.
Now you have to wonder what if it actually happened this way.
[–]soccerkicksx0130 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I was actually reading about that today, would have loved to visit it.

I'm mid-30's and half the girls I graduated with live off money from their ex-husbands. It's the biggest wealth redistribution program on the planet and no one talks about it. Alimony and CS are a weird holdover from a time when most women couldn't work and divorce was rare, completely unsuitable for modern society.
[–]GayyFieri8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm older than you and I've yet to find a woman my age that is truly independent. There are no women that make enough money on their own to have a home and pay all their bills. All of them are living with roommates, with their elderly parents, in some winnebago or something rigged together and all of them work lower tier jobs. The rest of the money they get from men, either their exes or from the state.
I was embarrassed that I had trouble supporting myself in my early twenties. if I couldn't do it in my late thirties I'd be mortified. Women are underachievers.
[–]somedudefromerlange3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Why do you think that happened? How do you think we can reverse the process? I say we as men should be focusing on solutions not bitching. We know there is a problem. Now let's fucking fix the bitch.
[–]B3RZ3RK3R_1311 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You're arguing that we close pandoras box you understand. I'm all for it but it's not a solution that's going to happen democratically, half the voting population isn't going to vote themselves to less rights or privileges. Just buckle up and prepare for the collapse its inevitable at this point, remember to teach the next generations what NOT to do.
[–]inkbro2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
what kind of collapse?
[–]B3RZ3RK3R_134 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Western civilization. A collapse to rival or surpass the fall of Rome. This generation.
[–]CVH910 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Issue is, most men are fucking retards when it comes to women. Look at stuff like OnlyFans — men compete with each foolishly over pussy and men are also raised by women/lied to growing up so what chance do we really have? More men hopefully are waking up but simps are fucking everywhere and society is literally setup to cater to women and burden men (then turn around and spout how it’s the opposite). Most men don’t even seem to be aware of the asymmetry that exists in relationships/sex between men and women (women initiate ~75% of divorces/men swipe right on women far far far more than women do on men/men rate women’s looks more highly than women rate men, etc).
[–]CVH911 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My mother sure as hell has been living off the divorce money and will continue to do so til social security hits lol.
Process is:
1) go to Uni to study some liberal arts bullshit — doesn’t matter.
2) sleep around and generally have a good time thoughtlessly
3) pick the “best” guy you can marry — snag somebody in engineering or some such if you’re smart
4) get married — stop working because you have some kids. Now you’re husband has to work at a 9-5 while you chill at home changing the occasional diaper and watching Netflix. Super chill/low skill/low effort labor where you’ll still have most of your day to do what you want while your husband is actually working and maybe stressing his brains out trying to make ends meet and worrying about paying the bills.
5) get divorced once you can get enough money out of it to tide yourself over til social security. You’ll definitely get the kids as a woman and if you married a successful enough guy you’ve just landed yourself an enormous sum of money for very very little effort.
Marriage is a scam for men.

Didn’t Brendan Frazier get raped or something?
[–]Funkydirigidoo20 points21 points22 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
you're right: rape raped, not divorce raped... or at least groped
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2018/02/brendan-fraser-hfpa-allegation
Fraser said that one of the reasons he pulled away from Hollywood was because of an alleged incident in 2003 in which, he alleged, former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president, Philip Berk, groped him.
Hard not to notice that Berk's part of the same minority that Weinstein and Epstein belong to.
[–]Heatbeat12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Before I even read your link: yep, Hollywood. Guy was a big up and coming star with the Mummy, George of the jungle, etc. Of COURSE Hollywood tried to sodomize him. It’s what you do to get famous.
Now look at him. He didn’t comply and look.

And Bernie Madoff...and Jordan Belfort...and the Sacklers...
[–]Funkydirigidoo7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Plenty of types are implicated in financial crimes though.
The sex crimes stuff is kind of damning though. I mean, even one of their own called it out: https://www.thedailybeast.com/snl-host-larry-david-roasts-harvey-weinstein-why-do-so-many-sexual-harassers-have-to-be-jews
(and was predictably pilloried for it.)
The Sacklers are a different type of evil. I'd say their crimes are more along the lines of rape, physically controlling and damaging people.

Naah. I don't agree. I say we should educate the simps and get everybody on the right track. 'There is no rest for the wicked' goes both ways my dude.
[–]toxicgreencapsules0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You cannot re-educate simps. They will disagree with you, and make you the enemy throughout your social networks.
We just watch them arrive at our doorstep, after suffering the consequences.

Men have a long & continuous history of saving each other that extends from family, friends, complete stranger & through fellow soldiers on the battlefields. It is just what we do.
The enemy kills us through our very love for them. The enemy is patient, always hungry & insidiously clever. MGTOW is their kryptonite.

[–]Dartego1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It wont work. So i had a friend who met a girl. This girl was a heroin junkie, had 150 partners, married, lied him about being pregnant. And tried to fuck me in front of my drunk friend. And he is still will merry her in 25 september. When i told him all her lies he didnt belive me and started to humilate me in front off her.

I'm still sad about what happened to Brendan, The Mummy was one of my favorite adventure movies growing up. That bitch he married absolutely broke him and destroyed his acting career.

900 K a year. Legit I don't even blame women, if I could fuck someone and earn 900k a year afterwards for the rest of my life, I would jump at the opportunity.

Always liked him. He had great timing between serious and comedic moments, and in person he was a cool guy to be around if the interviews are any indication. Glad he made a discreet comeback.
