The moment sex becomes more difficult to attain than just cranking one out in front of the computer is the instant that sex loses any manner of value for me. And that's no joke.

I think you're comfortably on base with time to spare. So many men will give literally everything for sex. They're so insecure with themselves that they will do it for the validation of a mediocre piece of ass.

Just imagine what we could achieve if there was a way we could "switch off" the desire, at will, and focus on more important things.

Outside of what you said, reproduction and maybe a bit of physical pleasure, it provides no discernible value. Any "feeling" you get is just a chemical cocktail of serotonin and dopamine turning up the graphics in the matrix. There isn't much quantifiable benefit outside of those things.

I mean, that's okay in and of itself, if that's what you're setting out for -but dudes have no control over these impulses any longer.

Some men also derive a sense of: (female and male) validation from having sex, dating, relationship, etc..
The cost of female (and male) validation (through ONS, dating, relationship, etc.) is much much higher then the cost of sex. Because marriage costs a lot. keeping a woman in a (commited) relationsip costs alot, dating and ONS costs quite a bit as well for the average man.

And if you don't want to reproduce then why have sex when you can just masturbate?

I'm sure I'll get downvoted but sex doesn't hold much value for me unless I care about the person, the problem with that is AWALT. I've seen men have pregnancy scares, get lucky and get abortions, have kids before marriage and rack up tons of debt, and I've even seen men on the verge of breaking down. Sex just isn't worth the risk anymore when you consider all that could go wrong

I get offers and I say no. I'm 28 and I've gotten maybe eight offers. I'm excluding one night things and girls I wasn't interested in. And I was with my wife for ten years so I've really only had before I was 17 and the past year and a half. I've had sex with three women. Outside of those women, I've never gotten a blowjob from anyone either. It seems like I'd take one of these women up on their offers, but I don't like casual sex so I just say no. Only one woman has actually satisfied me in bed and it definitely wasn't my wife. I guess that's part of it. Why risk anything at all if there's no guarantee I'll enjoy it?
