Sorry about the wall of text, you can skip to the end if you'd like to answer quickly, I just like to flesh out a situation before asking a Q.

So I am at what I believe to be a critical point with my relationship, I'm looking to get engaged within the next few months followed with the standard marriage and possibly children (although I've started to lose interest in having children). I need to review the relationship before I go past the point of no return.

Good points We got together when I was on employment support benefits, and did a little sign making self employed (I had a trash car, supermarket clothes, and lived in a crummy flat)

When I had to stay in hospital due to a botched colonoscopy, we also had a major water leak at home and her grandad died (all in the same night) and she handled the whole situation very well IMO (no drama or cries for attention even though I'd probably let her get away with some bad behavior with such stress)

She doesn't complain about me being 420 most nights even though she says she doesn't like the smell and I'm close to impossible to talk to in that state.

I'm in a decent job now, we have a mortgage together, but no children, pregnancies engagements or marriages yet.

She cooks, cleans, mows the lawn, paints, we share bills and the always buys her own things out of her own money, plus she earns 25% more than me.

She has helped me realise that my Mum is pretty messed up emotionally and that she manipulates me often whilst playing the victim to make me feel bad.

Bad points When we do inevitably argue she can be pretty harsh, I just say things as they are, black and white which she thinks is me being a bastard, I often don't even engage in an argument as I have better use of my time so just walk off (which she doesn't like).

She thinks the idea of me having my own room or 'Man cave' is ridiculous and me asking for a room that only I can go in is controlling, but I need alone time, often entire evenings on my own which she believes is me ignoring her.

She cleans up before I get a chance to get around to it and then acts moody because I'm not cleaning up my own things (she cleans up before I get home from work so there's nothing for me to do when I get in, great for me but don't complain about it if Im not even there to pitch in)

Silent treatment when she is in a mood with me, and answering "whats up?" with "nothing" or "How are you feeling?" with "fine".

She freaks out before any social event (parents coming round, dinner with family etc) and I end up exhausted by the time the actual thing starts because she has been through her entire wardrobe and nothing is right and I need to tell her she looks good in her outfit, but she doesn't believe me when I do say it.

We both like to do things our own way so it's nearly impossible to get her to back down on something when she has her way of doing things even if my way makes logical sense and the evidence is flying in her face. (to the point I say after much debate, ok lets do it your way, see it fail, then say I told you so out of spite)

She doesn't have many hobbies, she used to attend church 3 times a week before we got together and now doesn't(but still massively believes in the holy trinity and can't be convinced otherwise).

I got her a sewing machine 2 years ago because she mentiond she would like to alter clothes and make little doodads and she has only last week dug it out to use it.

She won't play video games with me because she says she gets motion sickness from them and I imagine the learning curve is quite big.

When I mentioned preferences about a ring she wants platinum and diamond of at least £2500 which I asked for an explanation to which I got 'it's a token of how you feel about me'. All I can think of is, they way I interact with you on a daily basis is more indicative of how I feel than a band of metal with a few stones in it.

This isn't an exhaustive list, just all I can think of currently.

Before this girl if I had known about the MGTOW community I would have been right on board as the women I've known before have wasted my time, money, drained my soul and messed my head up.

I don't believe she will cheat and I do trust her; her parents are still married and have separate hobbies and I can sense cheaters and catch them before they do it. I don't have anything really of value for her to take except my time and sanity.

At the moment I'm just doing what I want and asking if she would like to join in rather than asking if she would like to do [insert activity here] and giving her the decision/control.

I still want to believe I am in control of this and I have found someone who is worth it, is there anything I should be watching out for? any 'Tests' I should perform? are all women the same in the end or are there exceptions and if so how can I tell? Or am I the loony here?

If I am inevitably going to get destroyed by this women in the future I'd rather wheedle my way out now and save myself the time/money/stress.
