It’s set in the 2nd age with Sauron forging the rings and probably will show the fall of numenor apparently. I’ve already heard rumours of there being a black female Gandalf so I’m not too thrilled.

Technically gandalf is an immortal angel-like being that can manifest in any form he/she/whatever desires, so I guess he might was once a black woman? I don't think this is a good idea for a show but black, female gandalf is canonically possible.
Edit: Why do y'all downvote me? I said canonically. Gandalf and the other wizards are shapeshifting immortals. I didn't say that there should be a series with black gandalf. I just said it doesn't conflict with the lore (unlike a certain jedi that mastered advanced force maneuvers deus ex machina)

Her name is Kathleen Kennedy, she is the head of Lucasfilm. She's the one that convinced George Lucas to sell Star Wars to Disney. She green lit the Disney Skywalker trilogy. She also rejected the entire 40 years worth of Star Wars Expanded Universe and only canonized the movies. She also only hired women for the Star Wars writing staff. She green lit Rian Johnson and The last Jedi. Her motto is "The Force Is Female." Disney has spent 4 billion dollars on Star Wars and have not recuperate the investment. The old fans have largely abandoned Star Wars and new fans are not buying their merchandise. Edit: oh, in case it wasn't obvious, she's a feminist.
This is a summary, but really, you'd have to follow it frim the beginning to know what a shit show Kennedy made.

Hell Joker made over a billion and it was just a standalone movie about a single villain. Coupled with what must’ve been an insane budget (lots of big name actors, an actual fuck load of special effects) a billion is truly not impressive for Infinity War.

...what did Disney expect? It’s well-documented that most women engage in fandom differently from most men. Men tend to buy and collect merch, while women run tumblr fan sites and write fanfic. That’s why Young Justice got canned a few years back—show wasn’t moving enough merch. A franchise that is primarily aimed at women will not sell toys very well.

She is the producer of the new star wars movies and current president of Lucasfilm. There's a ton of issues with those recent movies but she certainly had a hand in destroying it with all the 'woke' crap. 'The force is female' and all that forced diversity stuff. In other words, a strong focus on agendas instead of quality movie making. She may not be in the director's chair but she's behind the scenes orchestrating much of it.
