I carpool with a guy and another girl. Lets call the girl M. Recently another girl joined our car because she is a new student. Lets call her B.

I sit in the front seat of the car and these two sit in the backseat. One day while we were driving back home I overheard M saying "See..quiet". B replied to her "Hes a loser". That really bugged me a lot. If it was a guy my first reaction would be "Excuse me? What did you just say?"

I dont really know why they thought that being quiet is so wrong. Maybe they thought they deserved a thank you because they came 5 minutes early for me. I came early many times for M before but I did not get any thanks. So I dont know whats that about.

They thought I couldnt hear them. I have never done anything bad to them. I mind my own business in the car. I am not like the driver who asks them about their weekends etc. I hardly know B for three days. And M is a strange person. A few weeks back she was complaining that someone in the office talks to her a lot and she does not like that. She does not like people who overshare with her. She even mentioned a specific instance where the guy asked her if she was going on a walk with their group and she said No. And she thought the guy took it personally. So basically the gist was that she is not comfortable with how much the guy talks to them.

I could not even do anything. I pretended that I did not hear them since they were speaking in a very low volume. Ofcourse I could not say "What did you just say? Who did you call a loser you piece of shit?". Because how could I yell at women right? Also the driver is your typical whiteknight. Always says yes to women. So he would have probably supported them.
