But you don't. You have the power of life and death at your hands. You can create a life, you can end a life. You can end your life, and ruin the lives around you until the pain of your loss fades.
You can build a bridge, build a house, volunteer at a homeless shelter - the list is endless. There is nothing you cannot do. You just have to act.

Man I really just can't resist the urge to roll in here and advise anybody who ACTUALLY gives a fuck about building a better and more fulfilling lifestyle should avoid doing anything underhanded...
We're trying to escape the negative cycles we've created over so much time. I know this is more an ethical discussion but still...
The Lord said vengeance is mine, and I try to live by that rule.
You say you can ruin people's lives until your losses fade, I think if you get found out for trying to fuck people up intentionally you can multiply those losses you've racked up.
And not only that but revenge is conventionally taught as offering no real fulfillment in the end... You still don't get back the things you lost, and you wasted that time dismantling and shitting on everything around you instead of rebuilding and growing and taking care of yourself and the people you love.
Leave the past in the past, don't repeat your mistakes and continue to move forward. In the end, it's just hard for some people to let go of their hurt/ideas/past/people, but really in the grand scheme that shit doesn't matter. Becoming the man who can consistently feed yourself and the people that have a deep, reciprocal, and loving relationship with you... THAT's what really matters. (I'd like to note when I'm talking about feeding yourself and your family I'm not just talking about food. A man feeds his loved ones with his energy as well, his direction in life, the wisdom he's gained about the world, etc.)
Winners never quit and cheaters never prosper.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree with your positive message, but the will to power, the innate desire to dominate others and to create an external order, is a very real part of the human condition. The only way to address it is by having even more insight into the "why" and the "how".
[–]MrMagtow2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I didn't say it was going to be easy. You think taking the red pill has been easy? hell no. Dealing with understanding that you're going to die anyway, max 75 or so years, that you have to work out a few times a week to make it to 75, that you have to keep your employment skills up to date, that you must have long-term plans for housing and clothing... no, not easy. Never lose sight that it's the journey, not the destination. Take each day as it comes, but keep towards your goals.
[–]SolidFinding1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Err... dude I'm 42 and you were never my mentor. I don't know who you are and I think maybe you meant to respond to someone else's post.
[–]MrMagtow1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
No, I was directing it at you. You said "desire to dominate others and to create an external order, is a very real part of the human condition" which I disagree with. Taking the RP opens you up to being a better person if you try, rather than not taking the easy path of being a dominating sociopath (I'm not saying you are, but the implication of your statement is sociopathic behavior and that we have no control over it).
[–]SolidFinding2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Yes, the implication of my statement is that sociopathy is the default state of mankind, and I stand by that. Have you ever seen a group of toddlers at play? They are ruthless. It takes about 15 years of intense societal indoctrination with notions of morality and belief in a greater good to suppress the basic animal instincts which we all have. When I read your original post, all the things you suggested had no immediate utility. The bottom line is, when another mammal is approaching you, your real, natural instinct is to evaluate, do I want to eat it, do I want to fuck it, or is it going to eat me.
Take building a bridge, as you suggested. Build a bridge if you own the river or if you get some concrete benefit from it. No responsibility without authority. Building a house? Make sure it's for yourself, or you're getting good money for it. Volunteering at a charity? No, that's a desperate move. Charities exist to keep the fat cats at the top well supplied in champagne.
You've mentioned the red pill many times, but I all I see in your comments are feel-good blue-pilled stuff. I may be reading it wrongly but if your only point is that you must stay functional for yourself, then I'm with you on that. Stay functional for society or for others? No, that makes no sense. Oh and I bet you and I will both live to 75 with or without working out, thanks to clean water and modern medicine, and we'll both die in misery and suffering, like every other mammal, and everything we did will have had no purpose.
Just trying to explain my line of thinking here. A couple more examples... Suppose you want to kill someone. Not just anyone, but a particular person who really deserves it? Nothing will satisfy you (because you will end up in prison) but it may help if you make a dummy resembling that person and vent some aggression. Likewise, sex, you may want it more than anyone, and learn all the PUA tricks, but nothing will give you a few more inches, so there's no satisfaction there, either.
In short, sociopathy is the default state because there's no such thing as society, just a group of people giving up some freedoms in exchange for basic security and peaceful coexistence.
[–]MrMagtow0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You make some very good points, but link your points all from the behavior of toddlers. Yes, I agree, they are ruthless, but they are also children and following their basic genetic nature. Look at any study into chimps (easier to see behaviors) and you see tit-for-tat and negotiation all the time - with some chimps expressing outrage at unfair behavior. We see the same in humans, albeit more complex, and like chimps, humans are able to suppress their desires for the good of the tribe/society, including gratification delay. It is this behavior which makes our species more successful than others.
You don't cover this behavior in order to keep pushing the "everyone is sociopathic", "everyone is out for themselves", and that being self-less is a waste of time because the fat-cats are just going to win in the end. Even your analysis of my previous comments are "feel-good blue-pilled stuff".
If you've only just begun thinking this way, I'm afraid you're too deep in stage 2, RP Rage. If you've been thinking this way for a long time, sorry but I feel there's no point continuing this discussion, I find it very incel-like.
[–]SolidFinding0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
"humans are able to suppress their desires for the good of the tribe/society"
This statement is as blue-pilled tradcuck as they come. You're like a poor man's version of Jordan Peterson.
It's pretty clear now that you can't handle an intellectual discussion about the foundations of society and human nature. What about the indoctrination of morality and a belief in a greater good by schools and parents and the carrot and stick? You never addressed that because, of course, you can't. Do you know another horrible little fact you as a blue-pilled sucker can't address? I don't know you, I'm not related to you, I don't care if you live or die, and vice versa you don't care about me. That's nature. You're not family and there's no business relationship between us. So where's your society now? But for your laws and social systems, one or the other of us could be vying to murder the other for something one of us owns. This basic fact is something you're too dishonest to admit. You just put some bait out there and pretend you're acting in the common interest, to fly under the radar, in the hope that others let their guard down. Nice try but it ain't gonna work.
Go and volunteer for a charity if that makes you happy. I'll sit here and look up the wages of your chosen masters. I'll bet you weren't even aware that they live a gilded life thanks to charity donors and volunteers. Or perhaps you're fully aware, and you mentioned charity here as a cheap way to virtue-signal. I hope you expend your energy and time for the enrichment of others, but I have a sneaking suspicion you're just a hypocrite and that's out of the question. I certainly won't be doing anything for charity. At least one of us is honest.
You step in here like some grand Yoda from Star Wars, having the temerity to lecture a man in his 40s, who is probably much more accomplished than you, about how to "serve" a society and others. Then, when the discussion isn't going your way and you can't explain your position without giving away your obvious tradcuck beliefs, you basically resort to backing out and saying who hurt you ("I'm afraid you're too deep in stage 2, RP Rage") and taking another draft of the Kool Aid ("I feel there's no point continuing this discussion, I find it very incel-like").
[–]MrMagtow0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
And your post continues the list of logical fallacies to make further arguments that you are right and society is doomed. Let's not kid ourselves, you feel you're right and I'm wrong. Your shaming language and name calling shows quite clearly you're frustrated at my comments - this is not the behavior of someone who is ready for a mature conversation. IF we were at the pub, I would have moved away from you by now, and you would have followed me, continuing your unyielding and opinionated diatribe.
[–]SolidFinding0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The shaming language actually came from you - you said you were out of this discussion because it sounded like incel-talk. Now you're saying I'm not ready for a mature conversation so you're moving away. LOL pot... kettle.
Calling you blue-pilled isn't shaming language - it's just calling things as they are. If we were at the pub I would ask you whether you believe good and evil are absolute moral positions, and then what your definitions of good and evil are. In my case, it's easy: what's good is what benefits me and what's evil is what harms me, they are relative and they can change with time or different situations. I suspect your fundamental root beliefs are completely at odds with this perspective because you're hiding tradcuck beliefs about a greater good, either in mankind as a whole or in a god. This is the essence of our disagreement.

Knowing Herodotus, I feel he's describing himself a bit here. I think the pain he refers to is relative to the wisdom and knowledge he gained. This man is the Father of History. Imagine what he knows and what he would like to do/have happen relative to his understanding but can't. Especially for his time.
You are right though. Everything counts. Don't be let down for not being part of the big stuff.

The tree of knowledge is not the tree of life. - Lord Byron
[–]totorox 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
the tree of life... yeah, about that...
couldnt find it but it's in there https://gnosis.study/library/%D0%9A%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0/ENG/Epiphanius%20of%20Salamis%20-%20The%20Panarion,%20Book%20I%20(Sects%201-46).pdf
the tree of life would be (according to Gnostic lore) the female sexual reproductive organs and its "fruit" would be (grab your seat) either period blood or the mix of sexual fluids after intercourse, depending on the ritual performed. And both were eaten after being offered to God, as in the Christian mass "the body of Christ, the blood of Christ".

[–]Binary_Forex2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Meh. There are three things to do in this world. Know yourself, know the world, and hedonism. Your strength must grow as your knowledge does. Knowledge of the world increases sorrow if you do not know yourself.

Great comment and my sentiments exactly. Mgtow opened my eyes and the world is completely different for me now as well because of gyow... In a great but sometimes disturbing and scary way. You stand alone with your views, morals and principles. You begin to truly understand how fucked up this world is and the majority of people who live in it are, especially the people who control the plantation. You don't want to engage them, because reasonable arguments are wasted on them. To point, just got banned for the first time ever from r/dothemath , of all sites. Girlfriend is in early 20's and has had over 200 guys fuck her and biyfriend is confused. They all post that if you have a problem with that you are an incel. I said I don't have an issue with a low n count, but c'mon, 200 is fuckin ridiculous. I get called an incel, I call them a fem libtards, and I get banned.? Only posting on mgtow here from now on.. If seriously, you get banned because you say a young lady riding 200 different cocks before 20 makes you a freak/incel and everyone jumps on you and bans you, I want to just keep going my own way...really don't have time to be a lone voice crying in the wilderness. I'm glad my kids didn't grow up to be like the trash that they are exposed to today... Thanks for listening..
so did they do the math?
200 cocks at 20, how early did she start?
how many a month is that on average?
say she started at 15, that's roughly 60 months so over 3 cocks a months on average over 5 years including the younger years.
lavou, ta novo.
As they they in Brazil. Cleaned it up, it's new.

A new dick every week.. Assuming she only road huim once which is a big assumption.. Use stats like average size is, 5.5 inches, 100 "thrusts till they come.. Equated to 10.49 miles of cock by the time she was 20.
Mist guys said they missed the issue.. You're banging in, 200 different guys befre 20..yiu have to have psychological issues, and not positive ones.. Can't clean up that mess...
this is the failure of this miles of cock calc every time i encounter it
virgins dont know that you hardly ever thrust the full length at a time (unless small dick disease)
porn doesnt help much in that regard as it's all for show

This hits hard. I've been in multiple industries, started from the bottom, worked my way up. The big promotion is coming, gonna make that 6 figure salary. What happens? Some cunt in a mini skirt and heels shows up from seemingly nowhere and gets the position and I've got to take shit from this clueless buffoonette (as in do a good portion of her job) and somehow attempt to ignore the simp level 9000 looks the boss is giving her.
The company I work at just got a massive fine due to an inept manager, the equivalent of over four salaries. The CEO's response is to let the manager in question "take care of it" - and the manager is now cutting salaries and benefits to pay for her mistake and this was rubber stamped by the CEO. Literally no disciplinary action was taken and the people not responsible are now gonna suffer. What the actual fuck.
It's not limited to females, I've trained my replacements a few times and the company then calls me up a few months later wanting me to come back. I've been fired because "things aren't working out" - then asked to come back a few months later. No. You, the fucking CEO All Powerful, were too stupid to understand this person was a fuck up, had the balls to pass me over for that pay raise, ask me to train a replacement, and now want me back?
I'll assume the cycles will repeat. Fuck you.

I've thought about going into consulting for the industries I've been in but the red pill rage is still too high."Fire your side-piece, hell, HR too, divide their salaries up and give them out as bonuses you need to retain" probably wouldn't go over well. 70% of the male bosses I've had have been major simps, willing to bend over backwards for the females and all too willing to throw the males under the bus in the process.

you have a lot of power. Male attention is God's gift to women. Use it well, sell it high.
Other than that, for philosophy's sake, that kind of wisdom is typical of decadence periods. Indeed you can just stand and watch as the world burns. Or worse, join the vultures and roaches but Herodotus implies he refuses that lowly self degradation.
