We are studying about socrates in school. He actually had a bitch of a wife but he chose to stay with her. The reason was that he wanted to practice his preservation. If he could stand his wife, nothing in the world would annoy him.

One day he was in an argument whit his second wife, but he brush it off quickly and went to see his friends at the public square. In the middle of the public conversation his wife came with a bucket of water and splashed it on Socrates and started yelling at him! Embarrassing him in front of the whole of Athens. He allegedly just said: "I knew that after thunder comes rain"
